Does not live to its price
Having used the Titanium Black version for 5 month, I found several drawbacks that in my view render this watch of little use as a stand-alone device, let alone justify the high price. Most prominent flaw is the heartbeat sensor. It gets way off (by 20+ beats) at the time of need. Tried different bands, fabric one offered the best connection with the skin. Yet, in my opinion, because of the sensor size (small coverage area) and its design (flat) it cannot be relied upon and requires separate chest HRM for precise measurements. Things get even worth when arms get sweaty during workouts. Second shortcoming is about built quality and materials. Design of the watch makes it quite scratch prone. It doesn't blend with the arm as its natural extension because of the bulky design of the watch, it is very easy to get hit against objects. Despite careful use, this happened 2-3 times over the 5-month period, which left prominent scratches even though the hits were very light. So much about Titanium painted black. Buttons also lost its snappy touch over the course of 5 month. On the other hand, default software is free and a good one, which is pretty decent given that many developers switch to subscription based service. Web interface access to the history of measurements is where Garmin beats the competition. For pulse/HRV 24/7 there are better sensors for much cheaper price. And for workouts a HRM or smartwatch with a better sensor would be a better investment.
