I bought these to make my life easier and to know that I was getting my progesterone pill in the right spot. I was diagnosed with very low progesterone levels in the beginning of my pregnancy and was told I would need to insert a pill vaginally every night until I would be 14 weeks pregnant. I bought these because it would make things easier and less messy. And they have worked excellently! Also it is great that they are individually wrapped so I can just put it in my purse or bag and take along with me when I won't be home and know that they are still clean and sanitized. As a female that has suffered from vaginal dryness since my surgery 13 years ago for endometrial cancer (total hysterectomy, etc.) and unable to take Estrogen because of it, I have struggled to find a product that relieves it and makes an intimate relationship with my husband comfortable and natural. These are the most successful I have found to date. Replens offered some relief and other over the counter lubricants, however, these surpass them all. It is the closest to natural since before my surgery and even before that following menopause. It is a great alternative to Estrogen cream. I have only used it a week, but I am already very satisfied with the result. I am just hoping I have no reactions to it. I purchased disposable applicators which also work well. The foil over each individually wrapped suppository is easy to open.

Purchased for use with Bonafide Revaree. One must position them upside down for insertion, which is not ideal, but does work. The applicators are not sharp or uncomfortable and that is what is most important. Will purchase again as they are adequate.

It took 4 tries to find a disposable applicator for my progesterone 200mg capsule suppositories that not only fit the suppository, but is also not flimsy, short, or sharp, and these are PERFECT!!

I’ve now tried this pack and the other well known brand on Amazon. The only 2 popular ones listed for rectal use. These are promoted as being made to hold most typical suppositories but I beg to differ. I actually like the fact these are more slender than their rival because they’re more comfortable to use. However the opening is just a bit too small. I was prescribed a very typical suppository, and they justify ihhhdon’t go in the applicator easy. Instructions say it will fit suppositories larger then the opening and technically that’s true but you have to try and gently twist and press it in. The recommend using a water based lubricant if difficult. The suppository ends up having a bunch shaved off to make it fit and having to handle it so long starts to compromise it making it break in half. It’s also more difficult to administer once you have the suppository crammed down in the applicator like that. I don’t know about you but I had to shell out $115 for my meds. I can’t afford to loose a bunch of the shavings or have them breaking. I really wanted to like these and I live that they’re thinner and easier to manage because of it but the opening is just a tad too small for the typical suppository.

If you struggle with getting suppositories farther up this is the solution. I had an issue with capsules not going further up on some days due to cervix being tight. Somedays capsules melt while insertion. The edges are very convenient on these applicators and what used to take 15mins now takes less than 2 mins. Definitely worth a try if you have trouble inserting the progesterone capsule.

BEWARE!!! I am a retired RN. I decided to try this applicator for use with a Fleets glycerin suppository! I am almost 70 and used this 3-4 times for occasional constipation. ***ALERT- the insertion end is not tapered and not smooth. I, unfortunately, disregarded that concern of mine because of the positive reviews on this site. After using this product I developed sepsis ( bacteria in my blood) from a normal gastrointestinal bacteria entering into my blood system. The applicator may have cased an abrasion or small cut in my bowel due to its nonsmooth insertion tip. This allowed bowel bacteria to enter into my blood system. I developed a temperature of almost 104 F and felt dizzy and terrible. I was hospitalized and placed on IV antibiotics. Physicians including an infectious disease Dr all contributed my illness to the likely use of this applicator due to its non smooth non tapered design. I was told to never use this again. When I was sent home, I was asked to return to an infusion center daily for IV antibiotics. It was very stressful for me and who knows what my out of pocket cost will be. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, I could have DIED! I notified Amazon and spoke with a rep, but no response!

My wife's prescription was changed from the expensive 100mg Endometrin® that included applicators to a 200mg generic Prometrium that was just pills. Since it can be a challenge to effectively use suppository drugs without an applicator, we knew we needed to get some that would work with the pills prescribed. My wife was very impressed by the quality of these applicators, noticing the pill fitting in perfectly with a good grip, the smooth surface of the applicator for comfortable use, a good textured grip at the other end for handling, and a plunger that allows for easy application of the pill after insertion. I've already ordered these on repeat for the next several weeks after seeing the quality.
