SB23-CFS Multifunction Pen Sharbo X CB8 Carbon Flash Silver

Cons: Expensive Larger diameter than lower priced competition Ferrule is aluminum, painted for a titanium appearance Pros: Wow factor is off the chart Lighter than competition Mechanism is so smooth, reeks of quality Zebra refills available domestically Gel refills available, Zebra exclusive This pen went straight to the top of my favorites over multi-pens by Lamy, Tombow, Cross & Parker.

Being that i don't normally order items from japan, and expected the item waaay later! I've decided to leave a review so that this might help somebody make a choice in purchasing this item. (ordered from Japanese Design Center) The sharbo x "carbon" multi pen arrived a week before it was initially expected (took about 4 weeks). The pen feels nice and premium in the hand with mostly aluminum construction. The carbon fiber handle of the pen feels uniquely smooth to the touch; hating the touch of cold metal I appreciate it, this really is a great design. However, if you don't like heavier pens then you might want to look at more plastic pens, you're paying for the premium of the aluminum body and with it comes weight to consider (about 25.7 g with components inserted). And don't forget to order your inserts! the pen does NOT come with any (can hold 2 pen components[Search for D1 refill components] and 1 mechanical pencil component[make sure it's the sharbo X component]) . Overall i'm satisfied and more than positive that this pen will be in use for a very, very, long time!

The quality of this pen is excellent. It takes Zebra D1 refills, which are just ever so slightly larger than everyone else's D1 refills. I'm told that wrapping tape around a non-Zebra refill can make it fit.

Great pen. Very stylish and compact.

The pen is perfect form and function married! Having had half a dozen Mult-pens. This has the perfect look and feel and impeccable function/operation!

Yeah, the pen is pricey but worth. Rotating is so smooth, the carbon grip feels great, the clip is adequately short, and the pen's weight, length & thickness are absolutely perfect. However, I gave 4 stars; The original clear case was not included for almost $50 pen.

Stylish , outstanding performance Great multi action pen it's only problem is it's refills

Very nice and high quality pencil. At first the twisting mechanism got stuck a couple of times but it seems to have fixed itself. However the mechanical pencil mechanism is very gummy and stiff. Ill update based on further usage.

Reasonable shipping time as it was sent from Japan. Excellent fit and finish, although it's exected, considering the price. Pen/pencil have to be bought seperately. Overall, a joy to use and write with.

I love this pen. Since the first touch on the Carbon Titanium handle I was connected to it. Then there was the second part as this is an empty shell. Waiting for the delivery of the Refills and the Mechanical Mine took much, much, more it should... In the end everything worked well...
