I am glad that I ordered the optional package of aluminum stoppers as there was not enough handlebar on the right side to fully install the new grip. Thus on one side I had to shorted the grip since the controls took up a lot of handlebar real estate. I used these grips hoping they would be stiff enough and hold well to extend to a full hand grip. IT did everything as expected, and they are very comfortable. Although 30% of the grip expends beyond the handlebar I cannot tell it because the inner liner is stiff enough to give me the feel of a full handlebar: Mission accomplished that I desired. The only mention is the end clamp falls off because there is no handlebar to hold the grip.
