Is this light zoomable, or is the beam fixed?

Yes. Twist the Head to go from a wide flood beam (close-range scanning of fields and brush) to a tight spot beam (long-range throw to reach distant game). Flood to find eyes, spot for the shot—one light covers both, unlike a fixed beam.

Do I need night vision to use the IR (850nm), or can I see it with my eyes?

The 850nm IR beam is nearly invisible to the naked eye—you'll only see a faint red glow at the LED. To see the beam and your target, you must use a digital night-vision or IR-sensitive scope. Without an NV device, use the visible colors.

Does it also have visible light, or is it IR only?

Both. Along with the 850nm IR module for night vision, it has swappable visible modules—green (hogs/foxes), red (coyotes), white (scanning/ID). Swap by hand, no tools. Use the colors with the naked eye; use IR only with a night-vision device.

Will the 850nm IR spook animals?

850nm is far more discreet than white light, but it gives off a faint red glow at the emitter, so a close, skittish animal may notice it. Good balance of range and stealth.

Which color should I use for coyotes, hogs, and deer?

Green is best for hogs/foxes and brightest to your eye (~350 yds). Red is best for coyotes—less likely to spook them at closer range (~250 yds). White reaches farthest (~450 yds) for scanning/ID but can spook game.
