Zero Odor Laundry Odor Eliminator for Clothes, In-Wash Additive, 3pk

I should have known this was going to work well, but I was still skeptical when I bought it. I have been using Zero spay for years and it works great. I have a lot of allergies and a extremely sensitive nose, so I have to be very particular about the products I use in my home. I recently bought a shirt from a thrift store. I absolutely love it, but to was worn and washed....a lot...before I found it. I put it on the wash right when I got home. After washing it, it at smelled like old perfumy laundry detergent. It was so overwhelming, I almost threw the shirt right out. I tried washing it with vinegar, which a bit helped. I then tried washing with baking soda, and it seemed to be okay, until I put it in my closet. The next day I my closet smelled like old perfumy laundry detergent again. Later that day, I was reordering some Zero spay, when I saw they had this product. I figured it was better than throwing the shirt out. I tried it as soon as to arrived and I'm SHOCKED. I used the extra stinky amount (4 oz) of this stuff to wash it, and the perfumy smell is almost fully gone. This product will be life changing for me.

It works & doesn't smell, but you need 4oz per load, so a 16oz bottle does 4 loads TOPS. I experimented doses & that is what works. It is expensive. I use it to get rid of the odors in communal washing machines. That ranges from wet dog, head ache-inducing stinky soaps & the bad trendy scent additives, & annoying incense used at thrifts & to cover smokers/stinky situations. This works. It doesn't leave a gross white zinc powder or clumps of white that zinc additives leave. It doesn't make my skin peel. I usually wash my darks first, towels second, lights like shirts/skirts 3rd, & then sheets last without any additive because the stinks have been removed. Use the same machine so you only have 2 loads to erase the stink. 10% or our population is smell sensitive. This is necessary for us. It actually works. Also buying the 64 oz bottle means that you can do 16 loads at $2.50/load which isn't cheap, but works so doing it as long as I can afford it (first 2 loads only to clear machine of stinky soaps & additives.)

I have three dogs and a cat and bedding, dog beds and blankets get so smelly. Adding this to the wash cycle makes a serious difference and leaves all of that stuff smelling so fresh. It removes even the toughest smells and leaves bedding/laundry smelling fresh. There is no perfume or heavy fragrance cover up. It leaves the laundry smelling fresh and clean. I’ve had no issues with irritation on skin even with my daughter who has extremely sensitive skin and psoriasis. I’ve purchased this countless times and will continue to do so.

Updated review 5/13/25 It’s been 3 years since first trying Zero Odor and I now have most of their products! We now live on the second floor with laundry access in the basement. We have 2 large dogs, 4 cats, I work in emergency vetmed now, and my husband sweats a ton with all of his working out. I put a little squirt of this stuff in with every load and it takes care of any yucky smells every time! I have their pet and litter odor sprays now and they work great. They have a slight bleach smell that my cats are attracted to, but there have not been any adverse effects from using it! Get this- you won’t regret it! ————————— Original review: We live on a third floor walk up with shared laundry between 24 units. There are some stanky looking people in our complex so I’ve opted to launder by hand. I’ve got a good set up with a large plastic tub, laundry wand and salad spinner to save my wrists from all the wringing. This is a tedious but it works and our clothes come out nice and clean. The issue I ran into recently though was when I had a particularly stinky load to deal with that I left soaking for a day- I had all intentions of finishing it the next day but unfortunately caught the dreaded ‘rona. That bin sat for over 5 days, I wasn’t even strong enough to just dump the water. I tried soaking in vinegar, then baking soda, then oxiclean but to no avail. The moldy mildew smell lingered. I bought this with little hope but thought it was worth a shot. The bottle came in today, I wringed out the stinky oxiclean load and filled up my bin with detergent and 2oz of this Zero Odor. It’s been sitting for half an hour now and I went to test smell a sock. To my delight- the nasty, stanky, moldy smell is GONE. I’m also a server in a hibachi restaurant, and my shirts always have a mild oil/food smell even after multiple soaks and through cleaning. I checked my shirt and that hibachi smell is eliminated!! What a relief. This product is expensive for the volume but worth every penny and then some. I will always keep a bottle on hand for times like this, but will definitely avoid letting laundry sit like that again. I will recommend this product to anyone who brings up laundry.

I had a load of laundry that was gym clothes and was in a bag for a while so it had a very very strong order. First I tried washing it with regular detergent. next I tried soaking it with Borax.. that didn't work, no change at all. My third attempt was soaking it in vinegar no change at all. Fourth attempt was soaking it with baking soda no change at all. I finally went online and found this product with a lot of positive reviews. This was my last ditch effort because I was tired of trying to treat these clothes and was ready to give up. The reviews on this product were very good so I bought it. I soaked the clothes in it for about 15 minutes I used cold water, one and a half cup of the Zero odor product, my regular laundry soap, and as one of the previous review stated, I added two color catchers. I added my regular detergent with it and let it soak for 15 minutes (that's all my washer allows before it drains out). I let it wash and it's a miracle the smell is out of these clothes and they can be used again. I love this product

This does work in my laundry. But I washed the item with this laundry cleaner it worked but I had to use a huge amount to get the odors out of my blanket. I first washed the blanket in cold water with the lowest amount of this cleaner. Used heavy duty cycle. OK dried but still smelled really bad. Ok next wash was right after the dryer stopped. Ok this time a half cup cold water and heavy duty cycle. The blanket came out a little less smelly. The final time I soaked the blanket 3 hrs with the laundry odors remover and then ran it with laundry cleaner and half the amount of laundry soap I used tide free and clear. Used cold cycle. It finally was very less smelly. The blanket was usable again. I did dry it on high heat in dryer on a very long dryer cycle. I have used this laundry cleaner other clothes that have body odor and used the smallest amount that is suggested on the bottle and it worked the first time. But I agree it is slightly expensive but it did get the odors out of my clothes so I did not have to replace clothes so I would recommend it.

I have tried so many products and hacks to rid old quilts of truly awful smells after years in storage. NONE worked. Until now! This gel took care of them in one go! These are large quilts, and commercial machines barely handle them, so I used an extra large tote, opened the quilt completely and submerged it in cold water from my hose. I then added the max amount of gel per instructions (1 cap) and a very small amount of t of eco laundry soap and pressed a few minutes to reduce air bubbles and saturate the quilt. I placed the lid onto the tote, locked it down and left outside overnight for a total of 12 hours. After draining the tote, I squeezed out as much as possible, rinsed again with the hose and squeezed out the extra. I then placed 2 drying racks together and placed quilt back side up in the sun until dry which only took about 3 hours. ALL THE NASTY SOUR STINKY SOCK SMELLS WERE GONE!

This does what it says. Got rid of skunk odor on dogs and on dog bedding of sheets, clothes, carpet rugs in washer. Leaves no odors of any kind. I bought three more bottles to do all items that smell. We even put it in the carpet shampoo solution and got rid of the skunk smell the dog rubbed into it. Very happy with this product. Highly recommend.

Very effective ! Eliminate the odor of sport clothes , bedding linen and above all towels

This is my second purchase of ZERO. It really takes odors out of clothing and leaves them scent free. Good vale for your money as only a small amount needed for a wash. I have bought so many products that don't work but this one is fabulous. Wished I had discovered it years ago.

J'ai essayé plusieurs produits destinés aux odeurs d'animaux et, personnellement, celui-ci fonctionne mieux que les produits vétérinaires que j'ai utilisés pour éliminer les odeurs d'urine sur le linge. Je l'ajoute au lavage lorsque des tissus ont une odeur d'urine et je suis vraiment impressionnée du résultat. Il élimine l'odeur au lieu de simplement la masquer avec un parfum, ce que j'apprécie énormément. Pour les dégâts d'animaux sur les couvertures, tissus et autres articles lavables, c'est devenu mon produit préféré. Très efficace et je vais certainement en racheter.
