Fits a Shure SM58 handheld Microphone very well. The sound quality is very close to the original sound of a Shure SM 58A Excellent choice for a replacement cartridge. Must be soldered to existing wires. Only two wires, but watch for correct polarity. Recommend!!

I use them for amateur radio and get good audio reports from them.

I had a cheap Gemsound microphone that died and was considering just replacing the whole system, but found this item and thought I'd give it a try replacing the capsule once I determined that it was the problem. I hadn't done much soldering before, but it was surprisingly easy to remove the old one and solder the new capsule to the microphone. The capsule fits perfectly and is a direct replacement for the old one. The sound quality also improved so if you also have a Gemsound microphone that's died, consider replacing the capsule with this one.

The capsule is a different size and shape from the stock capsule, including how it mounts. It will probably work if you cut out the original shock mount rubber

These do not fit a genuine SM 58 microphone. These maybe for the cheap SM58 chinese copy's.

These fit an SM58 By simply removing the stock rubber dampers The sound quality is Very close to the stock capsule,,, In Fact ,, I have a couple of SM58's and a Shure Beta 58, and these cartridges land somewhere between the 2. So I have come to prefer the 58 with this cartridge, which sounds a little more like the Beta 58 over the stock one when in a stand Since they Come In A 2-pack, I Put The second one In A Behringer XM8500 ( fits perfectly as well ) and am very pleased with that result as well,, The Behringer not having an internal transformer sounds a Little livelier than the Shure SM58 which does have one The "Plosives" are quite low. Like the O.E.M. The only real concern is the handling noise,,, which isn't an issue if it is used in a stand Overall I have to say it's well worth putting one in your "Dead" SM57 or 58 Or In A Behringer XM8500 As Well Quite good if used in a stand
