Some years ago I bought this product repreatedly (I love marzipan!), then I had to stop because of diabetes 2 and price (I retired). Now, I saw it and as part of ocassional support, I bought it, but this time the price (which is higher) does not correspond to a better quality. The angelical marzipan flavor is broken by a parallel taste that is difficult to describe but that it could be called metallic, chemical, absolutely remote to the original marzipan (that I know since I am was a kid, grandson of an authentic Spanish gentleman... something like that. It's a pity.

I was making a Battenberg for my book club. I bought this thinking it would be easier than making marzipan from scratch. I tried over and over again to roll out. It stuck to my counter and the rolling pin even though I used powdered sugar as suggested on UTUBE. I finally just got some on the top and bottom but not on the sides. It looked horrible! I will not buy again!

I haven’t opened the boxes yet but am encouraged because I can feel that the marzipan feels a bit soft which is a good sign. I went to our local grocery chain and they had marzipan in tubes and they were rock hard. There was no way that the grocery store tubes would roll out. So it looks like the Odense will knead and roll out but have yet to open the boxes and wrapping. Update: I just rolled out the marzipan and it is excellent. Just a few kneads, it rolled out smoothly and it’s the best tasting and best consistency marzipan. All the way from Denmark. I’m glad I got two boxes as for a 2.5 inch high 8inch square British fruitcake I needed one and three quarters rolls. Excellent. This saved my fruit cake. The marzipan in the stores was not good.

This is the best tasting marzipan. I roll the contents of the tube in little balls and keep them in an airtight container. They taste better than the prerolled fruits and are a lot less expensive. This Odense Marzipan came the day after I ordered it. My only problem is not eating the whole tube at once. Will definitely reorder, this was my second order. With this amazing taste I highly recommend.

I received the product fast, good price .It is very sweet for me but I think if you use it for baking you don't have a problem, for just a snack it is too sweet and sticky

This tastes authentic Sicilian Miturana will order again intact I just ordered 3 more haha.
