“Educational” quality lens.
No defects noticed as received, but have yet to insert into optical path of DIY laser.

Decent Quality
Good lens, the right dimensions and focal length, but optically not great. The surface is pitted with very small indentations, but wouldn't be noticeable in low-precision work.

I got several of these eisco lenses, and they are all packed nicely, and are perfect lenses for kids or an educational setting. They are perfectly smooth and clear, they are washable (no coatings), and reasonable durable (no scratches yet). These are not in any way intended for use by someone doing serious optics.

High quality lens for firestarting
I have several Eisco lenses for tinder kits. These lenses focus the sun to a pinpoint, and tinder erupts in flames in seconds on a clear day. Perfect size for a small screw top tin with some jute string. One of my favorite reliable firestarters.
