Will this work for 2mm vinyl tiles? I know it says 6mm up, but has anyone tried it on thin ones?

About 48 Inch Manual Tile Cutter，The cutting thickness is 6-15mm. If it is more thinner, it is possible that the knife wheel cannot touch the tiles and cannot be cut.

Anyone use this who have used the Rubi? How does it compare?

I have both this tile cutter and a smaller rubi. Not sure if it is due to the size, but my rubi is a much better tile cutter. This 39’ tile cutter bows and flex’s in the middle so I was unable to get a clean snap of the tile. This item was basically worthless to me due to the unclean snap of the tiles. Conflicting information about laser in reviews and description. Is it adjustable to be fine tuned and calibrated?

Is there an advantage to the single rail of this tile cutter over others that have double rails? Not clear that this is better in any way.

Definitely. This type with it's single rail has ball bearings to make the cutter run easily when scoring. The parallel shaft type use plastic or bronze sleeve bearings which does not slide as easily. In addition, the parallel shafts can create added friction (resistance when scoring the tile) if they are not perfectly parallel. The single shaft is inherently straight ( provided the mfgr has good quality control). Only issue with this unit is the cheap stamped steel ruled fence. Better units have die cast/solid alum parts for the fence.

Useless tile cutter! You know it is so don’t buy it.

Rubbish….again from Amazon Chinese products. Frame work not strong enough to keep pressure on tile to score……as you would expect. Will be fine with small ceramic…..but most cheap tile cutters are. This on bigger tiles 400mm or bigger will just score…..but when you want to “crack” tiles it will just go anywhere except the score line……so you will waste many tiles! Complete rubbish. Oh and isn’t square……of course it isn’t square.

The box came damaged and also the laser on the product is not right and tried everything to get it adjusted. Can't return due to high shipping fees. Really disappointed since the reviews were good. Update, it has broken multiple tiles and 16 euro per tile is after costing me more than this tile cutter. Extremely disappointed.

Great product

Wonderful product cuts smoothly, need a hard solid surface for large tile as per usual, came with an extra cutting wheel. Only complaint is the side stability legs do not have a lock or anything for transport nor the snap handle. Fast for cuts, works great, laser line is very accurate, great price when I purchased, not as durable as for the lack of locking for stability legs and snap handle.
