Good starter equipment for dipper casting, not great for dross and fluxing.
I mean, for the price, it serves the function ok. 2nd one i had to buy, though. They bend easily and the handle comes loose after repeated exposue to flux on fire. The little pour spout on both sides makes it less than ideal for scraping the sides of the pot while fluxing. Would be great to see a left handed and right handed type come out with a spout on one side and a flat tip and side for scraping the pot more completely. Some of our scrap gets real dirty and this could help clean the pot less often. Very light and it floats on lead when the spoon falls out. It gets a bunch of stuff stuck to it over time, but this could happen to anything. I use the Lee Pro melter with the bottom pour spout, so I'm using this for dross. The simple design makes it easier than some of the others appear to be, however a bit tedious given the symetrical geometry allows no part to fit the pot well. Think ill grind the spout off of the right hand side and see if it allows me to scrape and fish out crap better.
