These work great to add rusty effects to a variety of different things! In my particular application I used it for a remote control rock crawler I built, which turned out great! This stuff created a rust effect on the truck that looks so realistic and really completed the whole build. It was so easy to do as well!

It’s pretty good at what it’s used for. The paint was darker than I expected and I also didn’t pay attention when buying and wanted the green patina and not the blue but I ordered the blue. Overall it works well and holds the color and it also patinas pretty well. Some spots I had to go over 2 more times with some fresh paint and patina spray.

This is my go to patina effect paint. I use this kit all the time for my small shop where I sell various hand made crafts. These paints apply easily and cure pretty fast. You can get some really great effects with the paint. Practice is key and what your painting matters.

First a warning: the activator is copper sulfate! Wear gloves and eyewear and wash your hands after handling whatever you’re using this on. I recommend using a clear coat or sealant on the finished product. I do European mounts and wanted to try something different. It works the way it claims to. I think what I received was rather old. The base coat had a thick dry layer inside the cap and the activator had crusty residue when I unscrewed the top. The bronze coat is extremely runny, while the base coat is overly thick and highly pigmented rust color. I don’t know if that’s normal since mine seemed old. Directions say to apply 2 coats of both but 2 coats of the bronze would not cover even one of the base color. I did a section without the base coat to see the difference. For my finished project I ended up using another bronze paint as my base coat and it looked much better. I worked in small sections because the bronze paint dries quick and won’t work with the activator. I also used a different sprayer than the one it came with so I could get a finer mist. The one it comes with doesn’t spray or cover evenly so the activator runs and streaks and doesn’t look natural. If it was cheaper I’d buy again because it’s more convenient than making my own paint and solution.

Works well for the antiqueing.
