I tried to install the sticky frame directly onto the back of my iPhone 13 Pro without a case but it fell right off! Is it supposed to work as shown?

I attached the filter with the attached L shape thin metal to the corresponding L shape magnet with the glue strip to the back of my phone case around the lenses, pressed in place and let set for a few minutes. Then the filter with magnet came off to be attached as needed. That worked well. The problem was that the filter was not good for the photos I wanted and returned it. With the iPhone 13 Pro the camera is so good I see I don't need the filters.

How is this taking pictures on a boat looking at the water

It depends on the angle of the light reflecting off the water. It might not remove all the glare but may minimize it. I haven't been on a boat with it yet but it was good in some other situations. Other situations it had no effect.
