NIHON ICHIBAN Leaf Thermometer

These do work. I had a couple of cold nights of mid 40's and the leaves scattered throughout the house were brown. Turn on the heat and they soon turned green. I touched one and my 96.8 degree hand turned the leaf yellow. The kitchen leaf turns a yellowish green when cooking. Finding a neutral temp place for the leaves were my biggest task. I found it best to place on wood, plastic, book or cardboard surfaces. Glass or the wall is too cold for an accurate representation temp.

Lovely thing - a useful (yes, it sounds like an oxymoron) decoration. Allows you to visualize the temperature in the room in a very natural way - if hot, then the leaves turn yellow, and if it is cold, the leaves go brown or even black (as if frostbitten).

Worked as advertised. Too bad only a couple survived when my dog ate the package.

温度によって色がわかる葉っぱの形のサーモメーターです。 ジョークグッズだと思っていましたが、ルーターや機器などにつければ温度が高いかなと視覚化されヒートシンクやファンの設置に役立ちました。 手に乗せると黄色くなり面白いため子供にあげても喜ばれます。本の栞にしても可愛いと思います。

もっと、温度によって色がグラデーション的に変わるのかと思って買いましたが、おおむね31度あたりを越えると黄土色、その下が緑色、といった大雑把な温度しかわかりません。（夏に買って今は秋のため、何度まで下がったら茶色くなるのかはまだ不明） インテリアの飾りとして冬と春秋と夏の違いを感じるとか、指で触って色が変わるのを楽しむといった目的ならそれでいいのでしょうが、2０度なのか25度なのか28度なのか、といった違いを色で知りたい方にはお勧めしません（私はこっちだったので、いささか残念に思いました。）

子供の集まる場所では、ネタになります。 色々な使い方があるかもしれませんね。
