Very good for moderate home use but far less for larger jobs or harder woods
Works very well as long as you're not trying to use it for things that need a more powerful saw. Length is right for moderate home use and it is lightweight. There is no chain guard on the end which I thought was standard now even if many people remove them. Does not do well cutting harder woods like oak if it's a thick branch, which will dull the chain quickly and result in smoking wood, but it's okay with a few inches. Replacement chains aren't too expensive if needed, and sharpening kits aren't either (but the manual ones do tire the hands out). Doesn't seem to use an unreasonable amount of bar oil, but the sawdust mixed with oil does build up quite a bit under the cover over the chain gear and bar. Mildly annoying loosening and adjusting the chain tension but only because of the small grip needed on the knobs. It has the usual annoyance of electric machines in having to keep the cord out of the way and drag it around.

Great bargain
Powerful saw and was on sale for $55. I cut through about a cord of wood today, some of it 10" thick and hard wood. It shuts off when you release the trigger. Seems to be well made.

Chainsaw.
The chainsaw worked really well, surprisingly. It was difficult to put the chain and bar on and get it set properly on the tensioning but other than that it's a decent chainsaw for the money. As far as how long it will last, I cannot tell you that but it did cut some pretty big trees down for me so I can't complain at this point. It did have quite a bit of power, being that it was a plug-in, so you don't have to worry about burning batteries up. The reason I gave it four stars is because of the cover that you put over the chain tensioner and the actual knob that tensions the chain up. It was quite cheap and I feel that this will break over time as it's plastic and the threads are plastic as well.

Great Budget-Friendly Chainsaw!
I bought the WEN 4017 Electric Chainsaw and it works great! It’s lightweight, easy to use, and perfect for cutting small trees and branches. What I Like: Powerful Motor: It cuts through wood easily with its 16-inch chain. Lightweight: It’s easy to handle and doesn’t tire me out. Auto-Oiling: Keeps the chain oiled so it runs smoothly. Easy to Use: The chain tension can be adjusted without any tools. No Gas: It’s electric, so I don’t have to deal with gas or fumes. What I Don’t Like: It has a cord, so you’ll need an extension cord to move around. You have to buy oil separately. Overall, this is a great chainsaw for the price and perfect for light yard work. I highly recommend it!

Pretty good low-cost chainsaw!
For how little I spent on this, I was quite happy with its performance! The chainsaw has plenty of power and it does a great job! I only have two complaints, the first being that it’s a corded chainsaw, so you have to drag a cord around wherever you go. But I knew this when I bought it, so that doesn’t count against the product. The second is that there’s no emergency brake, which every chainsaw I’ve ever used prior to this has had. This might be because it’s electric- the chain stops pretty soon after letting your finger off the trigger. But if the saw were to kick back and the chain were still running, there’s a guard but no brake to instantly stop the chain. Again, I’m not sure how critical that is on a chainsaw like this, but it’s good to know. Being an electric chainsaw, it’s nice to only have to supply bar and chain oil and not gas as well. Also, it’s more maneuverable as it’s smaller than a comparable gas chainsaw. Not to mention it’s much quieter, the noise is much less objectionable than a gas chainsaw, and there’s no exhaust to breathe. The chain tensioning mechanism is toolless and like every chainsaw needs periodic tensioning, but I found it to be better than expected at holding the tension. I bought this because of its low cost to help me take a stump out, which is pretty abusive work for a chainsaw. So far it performed quite well! And I wasn’t planning on keeping it around once the job was done, but it’s not a half bad tool! In my experience, Wen builds decent quality tools at an affordable price (I have a few pneumatic nailers from them that I’ve used extensively, and also like.) I would certainly recommend this chainsaw as a good quality low-cost option!

Chain dulled with 1 cut
PROs - powerful for the price - light weight CONs - Chain DULLED after ONE cut. I had a stuck to cut that was ~ 20" in diameter. The chain cut well initially, but dulled quickly. It took me over 20 minutes to make the one cut. I had to BUY replacement chains at a cost of 25 bucks. I pre oil the chain and bar and ran it for about 30 seconds with oil tank full to make sure it was fully oiled before use. - Does not come with extra chain - Does not come with OIL - Tensioner MOVES. Yes the chain stretches upon first use but I had to adjust the chain after after 20 seconds of use. The - The tensioner get stuck when trying to adjust which makes you have to back off the bar tightener so be able to adjust it. - The Bar tightener handle is very hard to release if you tighten it down - I had to use pliers just to release it. Why did I hand tighten it so much - because the adjuster kept releasing.... Keep in mind, I just bought one of the little 6" battery powered hand saw off amazon to cut the entire tree down - I was able to cut all the branches and the drunk in multiple places with the same chain and had no issues with the tingtener or anything. Great little saw. I bought this saw to make ONE cut at the base of the tree because the 6" saw was not big enough. It cut it - but I hit the dirt with it and dulled the chain so bought this instead. So I made sure NOT to hit any dirt with this chain.

I wasn't sure at first, but this thing works!
When I first unpacked it, I almost sent it back. The chain adjustment mechanism appears to be really flimsy plastic. However, it DOES work just fine. I bought this thing for less than it would have cost to have my venerable old gas chainsaw serviced. Yeah, it's a bit of a pain to have to run an extension cord to where you want to use it, but if you can put up with that, this may be all you need. No worries about whether it will start. No mixing gas and oil. No fumes. I wouldn't recommend it for daily hardcore use, but for occasional casual household tasks, it's just fine. I just cut up some downed 6-10" trees and it zipped right through it. Cuts well. Lightweight. Easy to handle. One gripe is the front handle (actually the hand guard). On my gas saw it actually stops the chain if there is a kickback. This one is just a plastic piece that is fixed in place. Bottom line.. it's a pretty good saw for the price.
