delightful ball recommended by my therapist to help me regain function in my hand. I love how it feels - squishy but solid. Put in the microwave for nice warmth. Great buy.

This ball is incredibly soft and is great if you have an injury like tennis elbow and are looking for a ball that you can really squeeze without causing a lot of pain. If you use a harder ball, you can still squeeze it as softly as you want but it won’t depress and you don’t get the same range of motion and muscle activation as with this ball. Now the bad news. I left the ball on a carpet and it reacted chemically to the carpet and became extremely sticky, as if the outer coating had worn off on the area where it contacted the carpet. The ball became almost unusable unless I positioned it so that my hand avoided the sticky spot, which was very difficult. Then I tried putting some tissue over the sticky spot. The tissue adhered to and covered the sticky spot, so it was no longer unpleasant to touch the ball. If you are very careful about where you leave the ball, you shouldn’t have this problem. If it does become sticky, you can deal with the problem by putting tissue over the sticky part. I have a small concern that the sticky insides will eventually come out through the seam in the ball, but that hasn’t happened yet. Overall, I’d recommend buying it if you want a really soft ball and can’t find a more durable one, but be aware that it may have a limited life if it comes in contact with something that reacts chemically to the coating of the ball and exposes the sticky material inside it. Update: I bought a second one so that I could exercise both hands simultaneously and save time. I didn't leave it lying on a carpet and it didn't deteriorate like the last one. I also bought a Theraband ball with the next higher level of resistance (soft, red) since I'm recovering from my tennis elbow. I still like to use the yellow ones sometime since you can squeeze them really flat which gives good range of motion for your hand exercises.

Works great for strengthening my hand. My thumb was having tendonitis, but this helps work out the pain.
