Aluminum Cleaner

Holy Cow, this stuff works like magic! It took many years of crud off my pontoon logs in minutes and they look like new now. 95% of it rinsed off. in some spots, especially right at the waterline where the gunk was thickest and most solid, I reapplied and scrubbed with a car tire brush and the thick stuff disappeared. My little boat is only 15' and it took the entire jug and didn't quite get all the inside surfaces that don't show anyway. As a test, I used a pressure washer on parts of a log and didn't notice any difference in how the StarBrite removed the crud, so don't waste your time. I had the pressure washer out doing the deck so I ran it over the trailer really well to make sure none of the acidic wash remained. I also pulled the log drain plugs, rinsed them and sprayed them with silicone to keep them topnotch. It actually took longer to get the boat on the trailer (on a very windy day) than to wash the logs. Yes, it is that quick and easy. Next time I won't wait so long to wash the boat, which BTW stays in the water year round.

I used this stuff on an aluminum utility trailer I've had for a few years and was getting ready to sell. It had been covered in leaves and had junk piled on it. I pressure washed it which removed most of the heavy stuff but it was still stained with lots of brown markings that the machine didnt touch. I sprayed it with the cleaner and let it sit a few minutes. I took a stiff brush on a pole and swabbed it and the brown marks just disappeared. It is nasty stuff, I had to make sure I was upwind otherwise the fumes would knock you out. I also wore gloves to protect my hands. The spray head worked well on its own.

Worked good. Had to do a lot of scrubbing to get it clean but it worked. Thought it would be easier from what the description said

Supplied Sprayer leaked so bad, threw it away & put in a cheaper Spray bottle. Cleaner works Great.

This was AMAZING cleaning the pontoons on our boat. Spray on, wait a few minutes and hose off. We are beyond thrilled at how well this worked.

I recently tried out TAR BRITE Ultimate Aluminum Cleaner & Restorer on my old aluminum canoe, and the results were pretty impressive. I've been looking for a good cleaner to bring back some shine to it, and this stuff worked wonders. It's advertised as perfect for pontoons, but it did a great job on my canoe too. Using it was super easy. I didn't need any special tools or equipment, just applied it according to the instructions, and the dirt and grime started to come right off. It was satisfying to see the difference as I cleaned; one side of the canoe looked brand new, while the other side still had that dull, weathered look. The contrast was stark, like a before-and-after photo you'd see in an ad. What really sold me on this product was taking a picture of the cleaned side next to the non-cleaned side. The cleaned area was so much brighter and looked almost new, which was exactly what I was hoping for. It made the whole canoe look bad in comparison, so I ended up doing the whole thing.

While the chemical works at brightening aluminum, the spray attachment broke after squeezing the handle 3 times. Very disappointed as others have mentioned

This stuff is amazing! I would recommend this to anyone. Just be sure to read instructions and start from the bottom up and you will be ok.

Used this to clean some lower aluminum control arms for a collector car. They came out looking better than new. Nice and shiny, Removed all corrosion and left a brilliant finish. Some light scrubbing was needed on a few spots, other wise spray let sit 5 mins and pressure washed off. Would recommend and will buy again.

Used on an aluminum boat to get 3 years worth of grime off. Spray it on and wait a couple minutes and then agitate with a brush. then blast it off with a hose or a pressure washer. All I got to say is wow just wow. I would caution the use around galvanized trailers it will start to eat through it quickly. Spraying things down prior helps but covering sensitive metals is the ideal thing to do

I used it on a 5 year old aluminum (plate welded) boat to even out the colour on the sides to match where I had buffed out some deep scratches. It took 3 sprays and scrubbing to get it to match the power buffed colour (new aluminum). This stuff is very powerful and toxic. Don’t expect to just spray on and wash off. You will get streaking. You will need to spread, wait and scrub. I am quite satisfied. But to get a perfect finish you will need to polish with aluminum polish.

Love it when a product works as advertised. The oxidation on our boat was getting really bad. I was leery about a product that would work but this one definitely exceeded expectations. Given how bad this was on our boat, I applied a first coat, dabbed it with a large sponge to avoid dripping) let it sit for about 5 mins and then used a soft scouring sponge to scrub the deeply affected areas. I reapplied (dabbed with the sponge again) and let sit for another 5 mins or so. The results, as you can see in the picture, were great. Couldn’t be happier with the product, highly recommend. Key here is to be patient, take the time needed to let the product do the work.

The product works great. Unfortunately, we lost about 30% due to a leak in the container which was not shipping damage. The spill was contained in the plastic bag. Clearly left the manufacturer with the leak. Marshall
