If you apply light pressure, you get a fine line (approx. 0.3mm). If you press harder or change the angle, the line thickens (up to approx. 0.5mm). It gives your handwriting a bit of character that you usually only get from fountain pens. The Ink: The red is vibrant and highly saturated. It stands out aggressively on white paper, which makes it excellent for grading or marking up documents (my primary use case). It flows "wet," meaning it puts down a lot of ink quickly.
