I really like this piano bench. It comes both in a two piece design, covered with PU leather, or as separate seat and back items. The seat is available with either PU leather or a mesh design, but the pair is only available in PU leather, so I had to buy them as separate units. My choice of mesh is because it helps vent your butt to keep sweat form cause fungal growth, which us curable but really, really itchy. Trust me on that. The height of the bench is adjustable within a range I found adequate, but the addition of the adjustable seat back is what makes the package really nice. The seat back has two adjustment points closer or further from the back edge of the bench, and an up and down adjustment. You just pull a knob to unlock one and slide it, then when you like it you can tighten the knobs to keep it from wobbling a small amount. Easy Peasy. This combination allows you to compensate the bench for height (so you can reach the sustain pedal comfortably, and the seat back can be set for lumbar or mid back, as you need. I have my seat back set closer to the bench and mid-back so I cannot slouch back. Keeping a steady posture helps you keep your shoulders and arms positioned properlyall the time, which enhances playing with eyes off the keys. Assembly time of both parts takes 8-1/2 beers for drummers, and 1-1/2 beers for everyone else, according to the directions from the manufacturer, Liquid Stands. I have some stands here that came from China and were priced lower, but you can tell the difference between them and other brands, this is sturdier, thicker coating likely to help resist helping to resist scratches (I refuse to deliberately scratch my stuff to test that), and all the parts fit nicely, enhancing stability and easing assembly. Directions are clear and concise, in real American English with photos for each step. It is worth paying a little more for a superior product, and this is clearly superior to fixed height no back wooden benches and less substantial lower priced knockoffs. Well, that's all, folks.

Sturdy! Not too terrible to put together, but do be careful not to lose any parts. Mine came with exactly enough bolts and Allen wrenches. It feels very capable. The seat feels tight when sitting. There’s a smidge of wobble in the feet, but that’s to be expected with it being adjustable in height. I’ll have to come back after a month or two and revisit, but right now, very happy with what I got versus what I spent!

Will adjust to a higher table, when cheaper stools will not. Stable, very cushiony and comfortable.
