Are these lights 45.9 ft long each or is that a combination of the two strings of lights?

That is each strand is 45. 9 ft. Our backyard is 45 ft long and I stretched it across the back fence and was just a few inches short. They are awesome.

Can i cut these lights to a shorter length?

It can be cut and still function. I learned that because my cat bit through and severed the wires about 3 ft from the end. But better to loop it back in case you want to use it somewhere else that requires the full length. Oh I had a long talk with my cat afterwards

How dazzling would you say these lights are?

On a scale of 1 to 10…..I would rate these as a 9.9. We are extremely happy with these solar lights and I have tried many others. I have purchased three times from this company and have been very happy.

I opened it up and the battery is a 800mAh 1.2v rechargeable battery

I have purchased these same lights multiple times! They work perfect for my backyard decor or I use them on some of my DIY pallet projects or landscaping holiday themed decorations. Just put them up and your set! Light quality is very bright, light size is larger than the smaller twinkle lights, great quality, and weather does not seem to affect the lights or solar panel - waterproof in a sense. Remote control is a nice feature though I tend to set the lights and then forget them as I don't really need to make changes to the color or light show.
