I've done this mod to a number of switch controllers, first time trying it on a ps5. Simply put, if you plan to only use the controller in question on games that require a full trigger pull to activate input such as most FPS games then these can't be beat. They literally reduce your time to pull the trigger and speed up your ads/firing reaction time, as well as give a satisfying click you can hear/feel letting you know exactly when that input has been made. You do literally disable the "adaptive" triggers and kinda ruin anything like a racing game where you might want to "feather" the Gas/Brake so I wouldn't recommend doing this to your only controller unless you exclusively play FPS games. The kit works with the rise 2.0 and the LED kit as well, just gotta watch and use all 3 tutorials and figure out the best order to do everything in since there isn't an all in one video. One important note: i had to get some sand paper and little by little sand the l2/r2 inserts to get a perfect fit, at first they were too big and kept the button stuck down, if anybody else has that issue. But overall the controller i built for my friend turned out great and I would completely recommend extremerate's stuff, as this is now the 8th controller I've built from their kits!

This is the best upgrade you can do to your controller. Easy to install and long lasting. Still dominating in competitive games

my son (13) wanted a modded controller. Long story short, I watched the video on YouTube, purchased this, and 45 min later he had his controller. Works amazingly. It’s a little challenging but trust me you can do it. 💯 Just keep track of the screws. Once you do one side of the controller it’s the same process for the other side, simple.

I got the rise 2.0 and the hair trigger kit for my controller. I spent an 1 1/2 hrs installing the triggers. I then move on to the kit. I get to the part where you plug in the controller to the strip on the battery. The first issue arrived, the bdm 020 slot was missing the bar to hold down the cable. I figure I'm 3 hrs into installing extremerate products I would keep going with the install and tape the cable down since the clip was missing. Finally after 3 1/2 hrs of installing the triggers and rise 2.0 kit I was to the part where you plug in the rise 2.0 board. Well same issue the cable tie down part was missing rendering the entire remap kit useless! How this company gets away with charging so much money for junk products is unreal! How do they send out a kit that's missing the black flip up/down cable strap! Their quality control is horrible. And I'm pretty sure I'll be stuck spending even more money to fix their mistake. I can already tell just by bad this kit was I'm dealing with a crap company that won't do anything to replace. I'll have to look into the return policy if I can't get the board replacement... do yourself a favor and run away, get a tomsin for 1/2 the price that has turbo features as well as 4 paddles. Had I known about tomsin before extremerate I probably would have gone that route since I'm $80 into extremerate and have a controller that just has buttons that doesn't work.. If I could do it all over I'd yet the dulesence edge

While the concept of having hair triggers sounds good, this product aims to give you that. The installation video was very helpful, but they left out the most important thing. Test the switches to see if they click. This should be done before you tear down your controller. I did that very thing. Then after the installation I noticed my R2 was stuck and didn’t click like L2. So I took it apart again, shaved off some plastic like the video instructed. Same result. Took apart again to compare both circuit strips. There’s the culprit, a faulty switch relay. It wasn’t clicking like it’s mate. Now that was the 1st controller. I had the same but different issue with the other controller. This time it was the L1 that was stuck. Went through the same process as with the other controller. But this time I knew what to check for. Low and behold, it was a faulty switch relay not clicking. I don’t know now if I could ever trust Extreme or their products. They just provided me with 2 faulty items costing me money and wasted time. Buy at your own risk.. Just know to check for the clicks on the switch relays before you go through the trouble of opening up your controller. *UPDATE* The company reached out to me in order to resolve the issue above. There willingness to provide customer satisfaction was by far top notch. So I received the replacement kit for both controllers, tested the circuit relays before installing, and yes they were sound. I installed them and tested the controller’s function. Needless to say, they work properly now. After this ordeal, I’m going to change my rating to a 4 star. It was all do to the communication from the supplier and their willingness to rectify the problem.

If you are like me and couldn’t wait on the scuf reflex fps to come back in stock but can’t play with standard triggers anymore. This is for you. I wasn’t sure if it would work on this controller due to the fact that the scuf is a a heavily modified standard Sony dual sense. But it did work. I will say my only complaint is that the plastic “ramp” piece needed to be shaved down in order to not constantly push the button. Luckily i read the reviews before doing the install so i knew there was a solution to that problem if it came up, and it did. Over all I’m very happy with the purchase. Took me a few hours to do since it wasn’t a standard ps5 controller and i had to figure out how scuf had modified the controller. I ordered an extra set along with some other extremerate parts to build my own controller from the ground up. Highly recommend if you are not afraid to tear a controller down all the way.

Works great when installing goes smooth. I bought 2 sets. Set one the L1 and R1 small pop ins didn’t stay when pushed in weren’t wide enough to hold tight so had to glue no big deal 1 drop super glue each. But set two the L2 and R2 buttons were being continuously pressed first it was because I hadn’t pushed the inserts in all the way my bad but then it ended up being the plastic was just a little 2 thick scraped it with screwdriver works amazing now.
