What would I use to test if 3% H2O2 is still potent?

3% is 30,000 ppm, so NOT these 0-100 ppm test strips! You need Very High Level 2-10% test strips, which are available on Amazon.

While this product be able to measure a 7% solution of hydrogen peroxide?

This product will not be able to measure that high of a level of hydrogen Peroxide. What you should get instead is the Bartovation Food Grade Time Sensitive Very High Level Hydrogen Peroxide (h2o2) Test Strips, up to 10% Concentration (ASIN: B01CDX4ZB6). Those strips will help you know if your solution is approximately 7% because it will give you a reading in between 5% and 10%. How do i test 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide with your test strips. what ppm would i read on the container. what would i read if i reduced the 35%?

This product is designed to test residual (low level) peroxide, so, although it could be used to test food grade hydrogen peroxide, it would require a very precise dilution ratio that would be hard to achieve accurately. For testing food grade peroxide, I recommend using our "very high level" strip (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CDX4ZB6), where you would: mix 1 part 35% peroxide solution with 2.5 parts water to yield a concentration of 10%. If the color change is not immediate, then the initial concentration was not 35% (or a mistake was made in the dilution). Try other dilutions to zero in on the actual strength, e.g. 1:6 should give you 5%; etc.

I bought these for my pool, after putting 5 gallon of 35% h2o2 in a 25000 gallon pool water, the strip turns black, what does that mean?

As far as I recall the amount needed is 1 cup peroxide for every 250 gallons. Black is probably way higher than shades of blue that can register on strip; probably over 100 ppm.

Using to test peroxide levels in hot tub. They work!

I bought these to test the peroxide levels in our hot tub, which we're disinfecting with hydrogen peroxide rather than toxic chlorine.. They work really well.. I have a consistant reading between 50-100 ppm's, which is very good.. Just to make sure they work, I tested one in a glass of tap water and it didn't turn any color at all, which indicated to me that they are indeed giving an accurate reading. Price is very fair, too.

If you can't measure, you can't manage...

I use the test strips to manage algae presence in my swimming pool. These strips provide the accurate measurements of H2O2 levels. I have calibrated their results against industrial laboratory samples and have found them to be very accurate.
