Is this item renter friendly? Would I have to drill a hole in the wall to hardwire this, or is the product hardwired using its own cords?

Not rental friendly. Yes you will have to drill to hard wire. And they need a wall switch. Do a specific search for battery operated scones.

How can these hold on wall with our hardwiring?

They hang independent and you do not need hardwire.. recharge the lights. Remote operated

Are they turned on/off individually at the lamp, or must they be connected to a wall switch?

They need a wall switch However, we got little switches at an electrical supply store.

Is this item dimmable?

Hello friend, thanks for your question! If you want to use the dimmable function, you need to match it with a dimmable bulb and a dimmable switch at the same time (The bulb and switch are not included in the product package).
