Doing Magic: A Course in Manifesting an Exceptional Life (Book 2)

There are millions of books like this out there - and I have some!! This is very short, clearly written and appeals a lot to common sense. I just need to do what it says now! The author says she has not made money from this book which, if true, is a very good recommendation also for it being more sincere perhaps. The author also says she does not use her real name BUT that she is known (in the media she might have said cant remember exactly). I would love to know who the author is but either way def worth a read if you are into metaphysics.

This book has been written with such dedication and sincerity... It has depth and knowledge that has the ability to change anyone's life... truth has been revealed here after sincere research and observation on how we create our own reality with what we think and believe. Understanding this secret and then developing a nature of trust in this law of Universe create magic.

I bought the first and second book of this collection (I reviewed the first one here a little while ago). Because I had a gift voucher from the "wrong" Amazon (I live in the UK but the voucher was for Amazon.fr and I had no idea that one couldn't use it anywhere else), these books were rather expensive. My first reaction was disappointment that the books were so tiny but now that I have read both of them I don't regret buying them and will buy the third one as well. The first book was all about getting into the state of receiving, how to open up to magic because in order to make it happen you need to be ready to receive it. As Genevieve (not a real name) points out, the mistake most people make is that they are very good at asking but without preparing yourself fully to be able to receive you won't achieve anything! Yes, these books are not the holy grail of manifesting but maybe because they are very simple and to the point I think that they work to confront people with important points where they might be going wrong. The first book was about getting your life back on the positive track and I did what Genevieve suggested and sent her an e-mail to tell her that I was embarking on the first day of the rest of my life. Ok, I didn't get a reply but I suppose that she can't reply to everybody who contacts her. The most important thing is that I am trying hard not to complain, not to read the newspapers or watch the news (which I had hardly done in months but which I was starting to do more lately due to events going on all over the world but… that is finished!). Then I wrote my goal in a piece of paper, which I burnt (you can also build or buy a box for the purpose and post it but burning seemed more my thing. Then you just release it to the Universe, God or whoever strikes a chord with you. As she says, most of us have already asked for all we want over and over again so we don't need to go on and on forever, in fact creating a lot of lack in the process. I trust that it will all be well in the end and probably much better than I ever dared imagine! I have seen some miracles happen in the past…. And the more I understand about this subject the more miracles will happen in the future. The most important thing is that while in the past I would be losing faith now nothing seems to faze me. There was an odd sentence though, where Genevieve says that Becoming Magic may be about having Botox…… odd indeed! I don't think that anything is ever about having Botox but… that is just me! But she is right that it is all about first becoming the person you want to be and then letting the Universe reflect back to you the life that suits the new you! If it is money that you want, first feel rich, if it is love that you want, first feel happy, etc. She also talks about the riches we have in the Western societies but… there I dare disagree with her, especially when she talks about "enormous freedoms of speech". That is a fata morgana…. And if you don't believe me just go out there and say anything that is not accepted by the main stream…. You will get hammered, I assure you! But that is a topic for another book and not what this book is all about so let's leave it at that! All in all, even if you have read as many books about this subject as I have… this might still be the book for you! And yes, it is thin but I am reading a much thicker book at the moment, which is full of blank spaces and written in thick paper, so maybe a thin book that is to the point is not such a bad thing! I am going through one of the most horrific times of my life and you know what…. I am not crumbling to pieces and I am making something of my life in a situation which would probably defeat incredibly strong people! I have no right to therapy on the NHS, I can't pay for it myself but thanks to such books I am a survivor!
