Szliyands Screw Extractor - Used this to extract a poly sprinkler nipple that had broken off inside a brass sprinkler head. It might not be meant for plastic because it ended up compressing the material against the brass threads so hard it was impossible to turn. Eventually the plastic was ground to dust, so the riser came out, just not the way I intended. The included bar for turning is too thin for applying a lot of force without bending it or injuring your hands. I ended up using an adjustable wrench around the flat-sided middle to apply the force I needed.

This was the third tool I tried to get a broken PVC fitting out of a whole house water filter. I tried the two part tool that uses screws to supply tension and a straight line tool with a T handle. Both just slipped on the broken piece. The reverse thread "EZ Out" design of this tool tightened against the broken piece and got it to rotate out of the threaded fixture. Highly recommended. I got the two pack since it was in stock for overnight shipping.

Does not work on broken 3/4 cpvc pipe fitting. Not sure what it’s good for.

I picked up this dual-use screw extractor to help with a broken shower head pipe, but unfortunately, it didn't exactly work for me in that specific situation. The tool feels cheaply made, and right out of the package, the "Chinese smell" of oil—or whatever they dip it in for overseas shipping—was incredibly pungent. I had to let it air out for a bit before I could even handle it comfortably. My Thoughts: Build Quality: It feels a bit lower-end, so I'd be cautious about putting too much torque on it for heavy-duty jobs. The Scent: Be prepared for a strong chemical/oil odor when you first open it. Versatility: It covers both 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch, which is convenient in theory. Even though it didn't solve my immediate plumbing headache, for the price, I will still keep it in my toolbox. It’s one of those "just in case" tools that might work better on a different type of bolt or pipe down the road. It isn't a premium tool by any means, but it's cheap enough to hang onto as a backup.

This thing is great, I had to apply a lot of pressure but it got out the stubborn fitting which had broken off. This is a great tool for the job. I couldn't even apply enough pressure with the little bar it came with, but it has a hex head so I used a big crescent wrench on that, and that did the trick.

Paid for themselves many times. I used to have to dig out broken sprinkler fittings and then figure out a way to get the broken threaded pipe out. This makes it simple. It's the perfect size. Very easy to use. At a great price. and I don't think these can be broken. They're super durable.

Does the job quite well. Broken pieces of the angle valves is really PiA.. this really helped. You can use it with a wrench.
