A lot of dryer vents exit to the outside above the place that it exits from the bottom of the dryer. These elbows swivel to different angles if the exit hole is not in a straight line from the dryer location. They worked very well for my application. Also they enabled the dryer to fit tighter to the wall, as there were no kinks in the vent hose to worry about.
