I am very impressed with this bird scarer. I have hawks in my area frequently, but since installing this kite, they haven't come anywhere near my coop. The movement is incredibly realistic; the way it catches the wind and vibrates really seems to mimic a real predator, which keeps the hens safe without causing any harm to the local wildlife. Assembly was straightforward and the craftsmanship is excellent. The 4-meter telescopic pole is sturdy, and even in light winds, the kite maintains great balance and stability. It covers a wide area of my property, and the laser-cut materials feel durable enough to last. It is a simple, effective solution for anyone looking to protect their garden or livestock.

I bought this kite to help deter turkey buzzards. I live in the country. About 1/4 mile behind my property are power line towers where the buzzards roost. I put new roofs on my home, garage and shop last year and something about the new roofs attracted the buzzards. I was horrified one day when I heard something walking on my roof. I went outside to find around 50+ buzzards on my new roofs. If you don't know, buzzards will degrade a roof quickly with their talons and feces and once they start roosting somewhere, it is difficult to get rid of them. I put this kite up in my yard and the buzzards have left my property for the most part. I also have a pond which is another attraction. There were multiple days that I came home from work and found 50+ buzzards on my new roofs. I would clap, scream and they wouldn't budge. In the last year, the buzzards and only a few at that, less than 10 have been back. When I notice they are venturing back on my property, I will move the kite to a different location. I have ordered two of these because the string that comes with the kite is not that durable. The kite itself is made well. It has withstood the elements, sun, rain, snow, ice, heat and cold. It gets lots of wind and is up and down a lot and the kite is holding up great. One order did not have any string/twine at all in the box. The first one, the string wore thin from the constant movement and in a high wind storm that came up, the string broke and I never could find where the kite flew off to. The size is great. The pole that comes with it is very sturdy and has withstood the elements.I do have to go out there occasionally and unwind the twine from around the pole. If you are having problems with buzzards, this is a great value for the money to attempt to get rid of the buzzards. It has given me piece of mind to not come home and find buzzards on my new roofs!

Worked well until it didn’t. Pigeons got use to it pretty quickly. Assembly had to be tweaked due to broken parts. (I didn’t inspect it immediately upon receipt - my fault.) Color faded relatively quickly. You’ll need a clear area all around the mounting post. Move frequently. Catches the wind nicely.

Complete POS!! I had a mild breeze and could not get it up! I’m not sure if it would work with a stronger breeze but why should I have to worry about the breeze? It should stay up the whole time! It’s like trying to get a kite to fly by running and if the wind dies then it’s down! Don’t get this unless you want to use on a windy day only!!! I should have know better!! JUNK!’

Unbelievable how good this works, we had a huge early spring blackbird flock pooping all over the pool and the edges constantly. Standing Owls no bueno… this thing, nothing comes around. My dogs are scared. Had to shorten the string a bit cuz it was getting tangled… location is key, getting good movement from the wind, it’s definitely an eagle kite!

Update: String broke and bird blew away. Initial Review: The day I carried this down to my pier the small birds were chattering at me because they didn’t like it. The ducks have swam around my pier but stayed clear and check out the photo. The seagulls are thick on my neighbors’ boat lift canopies but mine is clear with no bird droppings!! Great flight action and durable in strong winds.

I’m giving it 2 stars because it worked great for the first few days and kept the birds away, however it kept getting tangled around the pole and then the poles poked through the kite portion and now looks dead and awful.

The kite was easy to assemble. The pole however didn’t extend as per the instruction video. I spent the extra money for the pole only to discover it is in pieces and will not attach end to end or telescope as per the video. We had to tape the ends together, not sure how long the tape will hold. Not happy with the pole
