Durable has to be defined. The device has an IP54 rating. A product with an IP54 rating is protected against the quantity of dust that could interfere with the normal operation of the product but is not fully dust-tight. The product is completely protected against solid objects. It is also protected against water splashing from any angle.

Does this support 4tb drives?

4TB HDDs are 15mm thick and the max the enclosure supports is 9.5mm drives. To my knowledge, currently the maximum size that can be found that fits in this case would be a 2TB 2.5" HDD.

it inexpensive to purchase a different length cable you I have old ones from previous Drives that still work fine USB 3.0 A male to Micro B cable replace original lost or broken cable
