Great oil.

Saved my e92 m3, best oil in the game.

Excellent oil for my 2004 BMW M3. Decent price.

But Quality oil for yor car!

This is oil I would use for hard driving but it does the job for regular driving as well. Motul makes oil good enough to not need additives unlike brands such as Liquimoly. Molybendum actually comes in this oil, you don't have to spend another $15 for it. At the shop I worked at, this oil would do very well in customer cars and I've made the switch on my E46 M3. There is the maximum allowed ZDDP which is good for protection on start up and the viscosity stays within specs very well. It's film strength is very good and during a cruise on the highway, my temps are around 190 degrees when it's 95 outside. Once the driving begins, all oils heat up and in that aspect this oil is a little on the lighter side which will allow more flow and slightly lower oil pressure. Bearing clearance is tight and are a problem on this car. Better flow is good. Track cars will use a 50wt oil to give a reference.

I used to use Mobil 1 5w-50 and 15w-50 during the summer in my super high mileage, heavily abused Hyundai. Switched over to this because Mobil 1 changed the formula and was now evaporating and making my engine get louder and tick more as the oil change interval went on. This one is very smooth, and my engine has actually gotten much quieter the longer the oil has been in (probably due to it taking some time to build up its own tribofilm). Very few companies offer a multi grade 60 and this one has the best HTHS spec of the ones I looked into, suggesting a very good base oil was used.

Nutze das Öl in meinem Boot...hier ist ein stabiler Ölfilm auch bei Dauervollgas wichtig sprich ein Öl was lange Vollgasfahrten aushält ohne dass sich die Viskosität verändert! Ich hatte vorher das Motul V300 Comp 15w50 welches super war... aber der Motor hatte damit einen hohen Ölverbrauch und eine etwas längere Warmlaufphase! Bei dem Öl welches fast eher ein 5w60 ist laut diversen Tests aus dem Ölforum merkt man dass der Motor direkt nach dem Start runder läuft und die "Geräusche" die vorhanden sind wenn der Motor kalt ist deutlich schneller verschwinden! Auch hatte ich gefühlt einen etwas niedrigeren Spritverbrauch aber das kann Einbildung sein da man nie gleich fährt auf dem Boot. Möglich wärs aber durch die niedrigere Reibung wenn der Motor kalt ist. Mein Verbrauch war Saison 2025 bei 0.86liter pro Km und 2024 war er bei 0.94liter pro km. Allerdings habe ich auch ne neue Schraube montiert. Ist also nur bedingt aussagekräftig. Klasse ist dass ich beim W60 Öl viel Reserven nach oben habe! Sprich wenn das Öl altert wird gerne aus einem W60 Öl ein W50 Öl was dann aber noch immer top ist für Vollgasfahrten! Auch ist der Öldruck bei dem Öl noch früher auf Maximum als beim vorherigen 15w50 (laut Öldruckanzeige)
