They don't look like much, but man - do they ever work
A robin has been fighting itself in the glass of my kitchen's screen door. That wouldn't normally be terrible - I thought it would tire out and quit after a while - but by the end of the second day, I was wishing bad stuff on it, just from the noise alone (and, of course, the ankle-deep crap the little stooge leaves in front of our door). We ordered these discs and got them the next day. I put up with the birdbrain's shenanigans for the first hour, until I got these put together. Now, the little goof isn't coming near anymore our porch. Success! Couple things to remember: Out of desperation, I ordered these without reading much about them first. You must assemble them yourself. So if your eyesight is bad like mine, have a 7-year-old handy to help. The good news is, you don't need any tools. Next, don't peel off those protective clear and blue-tinted backing film! It's a powerful impulse to do so, I know, but the instructions clearly tell us not to. Although we can't find a fresh nest around this year's problem spot, I've got three porches and a cable-company box attached to my house. Each of these places have hosted bird nests in recent years. There are eight pieces of these in total, assembled in strings of three, so I've got plenty to use every location simultaneously. The oversized Christmas-ornament-type hook is not always suitable; however, between them, the tiny caribiner clip (included) or some thin zip ties, there's no place you can't hang these discs up. I highly recommend them!

Finally Something to Keep Woodpeckers off the House
I have a cedar siding house in Virginia and every year I would have to have woodpecker holes repaired. Every Single Year!! I put these up on a shepherd hooks on either side of my house where the woodpeckers would do their worst. I have not had a single even tiny hole in my siding in two years since I put these up. I also have wind chimes on one side of the deck. Either way no more pecking on the house and me hitting the side of the house and yelling to get them away. They still look fine after two years but from the way they look right now I doubt they will be functional after three years. The finish is started to crackle some. Hope this helps!

Cracks easy. Works on some birds
Comes individually wrapped and each disc is sealed with shrink wrap that is easy to peel off with a tweezer or your fingernails (if you have any). They definitely work for some but not all birds. We’ve watched birds come right up to it and start pecking at it. We have successfully kept birds from making a nest in our posts on our front porch where we’ve staple-gunned these to the wood. These come as individual disks that you have to put together so it doesn’t have to be 3 in a row to hang. NOTE: The discs are MAGNIFIED on one side and not on the other. Only suggestions would be to line ups magnified sides to face same way; to be gentle when connecting these to the rings because they are delicate and crack easy. I learned that quick on the first try but if you’re careful it’s fine. A little extra attn to how they were made will make the difference!

Must assemble and will scratch wood surfaces
I'll start by saying this product does work. It did deter the woodpeckers from my porch that they were destroying. But, they are a pain to assemble - each disc has to be attached to the next disk by a key ring which is a pain. Once assembled and hung from my porch pillars, they did work but when the wind blows and they sway they scratch the heck out of the wood. So now I have two problems - the woodpeckers have destroyed my posts and now these have also made a mess of my posts.

They really work!
I had a terrible problem with crows and tried different remedies. Sometimes there would be 12-14 sitting all over my boat and doing what crows do! These made an immediate difference and was the cheapest of all the ones I tried.

These worked perfectly!
These worked immediately. I did add some sparkly Mylar fringe that I think might add to the the effectiveness. No more woodpeckers on the gutter downspouts! We also made sure they were attached securely with zip ties so they could not slide. I hope they last the season, they were pretty good quality and design for the price and easy to assemble. They move very well even in a light breeze and the reflection seems to disturb the woodpeckers as much as the movement.

It worked perfectly to keep birds away
We have 2 small miniature peach trees that the birds always got to first. I tried netting but they still spoiled all of it by landing on a limb and pecking away enough to drop and ruin them. I lost one peach before I put these up this year, none since! The disks are very light and very reflective, they move easily with very little wind. When the wind blows enough to move them, even a little, they cast patches of reflective moving sunlight all around. This scares off the birds. I used to have birds in my yard all the time and I have not seen one since I put these in about a week ago. I am going to order another pack for more coverage but it is probably overkill. Love, love, love this product. As a nice bonus little kids love the moving lights and are creative in having fun with them, another benefit. The directions, pictorial, do not tell you there is protective cellophane on both sides. One side is blue, easily seen, the other is clear, not easily seen. Start with a thumb nail near one of the holes and it then it will peel away, fairly easy to do. Finally a product that works to keep birds away! No more bird poop and the resulting weeds that come from undigested seeds, two other benefits.

Not for sparrow deterrence.
This item came quickly and was easy to assemble. They are pretty in the sun but the sparrows pay no attention to them.
