I used this on a i5 13500. The stock cooler was very noisy. While I do have a ASUS TUF gaming mobo with 32GB RAM and a RTX3060, this is not really meant for gaming. I just don't like slow rigs. So this cooler should suffice in terms of temps. So I ended up going with this low profile CPU cooler even though my box is full size. Just taking it out I can see the good quality. And when installed, there is a significant improvement in fan noise, this thing is really silent. I agree with the reviewer who said more than two hands is useful. I held the cooler while someone else put in the screws from behind the motherboard. And in my case, I had to remove the motherboard screws and take half outside, because my case did not provide access to couple of the screws behind the motherboard while installed. Review: An absolute must for your Small Form-Factor(SFF) PC Builds! - My AIO was not working as well as it should have, and I needed a fast solution since my idle temperatures kept climbing relentlessly... nearly 85°C! To avoid long term damage to the other components, I replaced my NZXT H1 v1 small form factor(SFF) rig's OEM AIO Cooler/Fan completely, and solely used the NOCTUA NH-L9i-17xx chromax.black instead. The difference was immediate, and the temperatures easily are in the high 30°C to low 40°C range when idle. I am thoroughly impressed with the quieter fan as well. Excellent product, that I can highly recommend to other users. ## Features - Proven premium heatsink (more than 200 awards and recommendations from international hardware websites), now available in an all-black design that goes great with many colour schemes - Only 37mm height allows it to fit compact HTPC and Small Form Factor (SFF) cases, tailored footprint guarantees 100% RAM and PCIe compatibility on all ITX, Micro-ATX and ATX LGA1700 or LGA1851 motherboards - Renowned, award-winning NF-A9x14 slim 92mm fan with Low-Noise Adaptor and PWM for automatic speed control: full cooling performance under load, whisper quiet at idle! - Includes high-end NT-H1 thermal paste and SecuFirm2 mounting system for easy installation on Intel LGA1700 and LGA1851 CPUs - Renowned Noctua quality backed up by 6-year manufacturer’s warranty, deluxe choice for Intel Ultra with moderate heat load (e.g. 245K, 14600, 13600, see compatibility list) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09HCHYMJM | | Best Sellers Rank | #200 in Computer CPU Cooling Fans #260 in Computer Cases | | Brand | Noctua | | Brand Name | Noctua | | CPU Socket | LGA1700, LGA1851 | | Cooler Heatsink Compatibility | Intel LGA1700, Intel LGA1851 | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 417 Reviews | | EU Spare Part Availability Duration | 6 years | | Included Components | 1 package | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 3.74"L x 3.74"W x 1.46"H | | Item Highlight | Only 37mm Height, ITX SFF Low-Noise Cooling, For LGA1851/1700, 92mm Slim Fan, No RAM or PCIe Overhang, Rich Accessory Kit | | Item Weight | 429 g | | Manufacturer | Noctua | | Model | NH-L9i-17xxchromax | | Mounting Type | CPU cooler mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | NF-L9i-17xxchromaxblack | | Product Dimensions | 3.74"L x 3.74"W x 1.46"H | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 6 year manufacturer’s warranty | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Noctua - **Cooler Heatsink Compatibility:** Intel LGA1700, Intel LGA1851 - **Item Weight:** 429 g - **Mounting Type:** CPU cooler mount - **Product Dimensions:** 3.74"L x 3.74"W x 1.46"H ## Images ![NH-L9i-17xx chromax.black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81XLADINZiL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High quality and Low noise *by S***7 on May 8, 2023* Many of these reviews are spot on. First off, I wouldn't recommend this for a K series CPU (especially 12700k/12900k), but if you want this to work for a 12600k it CAN be done at decent temps. At base clocks for normal daily tasks/light gaming it will do fine around 60-70C. But this will throttle if running max load (will reach 100C within minutes). With an undervolt of -.075 I was able to keep temps below 90C at max load for 20min. Cinebench scores were stable and were about the same as before. During gaming I am getting around 55C now. Definitely do not get this cooler if you want to overclock the 12600k (again do not get this cooler at all for a 12700k/12900k); but this is an excellent cooler for its size. Also your results may vary depending on your case; I did my testing on the Meshilicious. ## Frequently Bought Together - Noctua NH-L9i-17xx chromax.Black, Premium Low-Profile CPU Cooler for Intel LGA1700 and LGA1851 (Black) - Intel Core i7-12700K Gaming Desktop Processor with Integrated Graphics and 12 (8P+4E) Cores up to 5.0 GHz Unlocked LGA1700 600 Series Chipset 125W --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.fr/products/377325692-nh-l9i-17xx-chromax-black](https://www.desertcart.fr/products/377325692-nh-l9i-17xx-chromax-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart France* *Store origin: FR* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
