How much do you mix with a gallon of water? The directions say to add half a cupful to a gallon, but the cap has a fill line marker on it at the top.

Mix 1 capful (2 fl. oz.) of the Miracle-Gro Quick Start into 2 gallons (8 L) of water or use 1/2 capful (1 fl. oz) mixed with 1 gallon of water. Pour water and Quick Start solution around newly transplanted plants and repeat application in 7 days.

How much of this product should I apply to a newly transplanted tree? It came from the nursery in a container and has a 2.5" diameter trunk.

You need to mix up enough solution to saturate the area around the tree. As a minimum, I would match the volume of the container it came in from the nursery. If it was in a 3 gallon container, I would mix up 3 gallons of solution and pour it all around the newly planted tree. I've had great success with this product on mostly, newly planted or transplanted vegetables.

What are ingredients in this product?

Indolbuterick acid is the most useful ingredient. Prevents root shock in transplanting.
