Sewing Activity Kit

The quality was good and the design made it easy to sew. All homes lined up just as they should. Colors are bright and animals are cute. All supplies were included and were in a nice case.

I am a sewing challenged adult. I got a very easy sewing kit from a department store that my six-year-old loved doing with help from me. I thought this sewing kit would be very easy too, but it was a little harder. We started with the bird. I had some challenges lining up the wing parts, and I became slightly frustrated. I think my child was picking up on this, and I had to check myself and my frustration. In the end, I am not sure we sewed the bird completely according to the directions, but it was good enough, and it looked cute. I think that adults who have grown up sewing or who otherwise have sewing experience will find this an easy craft, and those of us who did not and do not have sewing skills will possibly get frustrated, but if you go with the flow and don't let your frustration get the best of you, this can be a fun craft to share with your child. We ended up really enjoying spending the time together and the finished product (even though it was not perfect). Everything is well laid-out with instruction for each animal, and each animal comes in its own plastic package. It also comes with a cute reusable bag that you can put everything you didn't do back into for easy storage (which is key for our household). This is a quality kit, and I am excited to do the rest of the animals with my child.

Very cute. Not perfect - the quality is good, not great. The instructions need a bit more clarity - but you can figure them out. Not recommended for under age 7 or so.

I got this for my 4 year old niece and it was perfect. The holes are pre made and the needle is plastic so I don't have to worry about her getting hurt with the needle! She really felt like she was learning to sew and I love that she gets to choose from an assortment of animals. Each one was packaged separately so you don't have to worry about mixing up the pieces. Overall it's a lot of fun for teaching a little someone to sew! I would highly recommend!!

I bought this sewing kit for my 7yo who wants to learn to sew and I knew my 5yo would want to do it as well, so I knew I would have to help her. But I also had to help my 7yo with hers. My 7yo did most of the panda by herself and I helped my 5yo with the snake. They are both very happy with the way they turned out and they play with them a lot already. We were annoyed that not all of the holes are punched through completely and even those that are still have fabric on them you just need to poke the needle through but my 7yo said this made it harder for her to see the holes. Our kit only came with 3 big plastic sewing needles and not 5 like it said it does. But since we only needed 2 needles at a time it wasn't a big deal for us. The 'filling' this comes up can get messy and so can the glue. I really like the carrying case it comes with because it's easy to store everything that isnt being used. Also, the instructions say to cut the thread as long as the kids arm but this is only good for a part of the project and you will have to cut more when needed.

Super cute and easy to use!

This kit was so fun and easy to do with my 6 year old. When it arrived, I saw it was missing the parrot but had two pandas. I emailed the seller and told them what happened and they were happy to fix it. I was only asking for the parrot and they sent it as well as another snake. I was impressed with how fast it arrived too.

My just-turned-8-year-old was a bit confused at first, but he got the hang of it. The felt is not particularly forgiving in that it’s kind of easy to make the hole too big (if you mess up, pull hard, etc), but I really can’t picture a better fabric to use for it. It’s really cute though. For the price, I would absolutely buy this again.
