To Good To Pass Up...
Let me break a couple of things down real quick..I work for a living, sometimes 6-7 nights a week. I am pushing 50, but want to get back into shape. The government as we know takes most of our money, so I am pretty tight with what I get. I shopped around when looking for a squate rack. Even stooped so low as to browse the high priced, used trash on Facebook Marketplace. I shop a lot on Amazon, it's convenient due to my work schedule. So after looking around, I finally settled on this Fitness Reality squat rack and lat attachment set up. It took awhile to get here as it was being shipped by UPS for some reason, and in seperate packages due on seperate dates. UPS if you don't know, doesn't generally use careful hands when it comes to packages, and is not timely at all. So while spending a few days peeking out the windows like a package thief, I finally caught the deliveries securely. Alright the fun part. When I was a kid I use to rip open packages and toss the instructions to the wind. Not so these days. A word of advice, keep a couple of trash bags handy when unpacking the parts, as Fitness Reality goes out of the way to carefully package parts. I examined all parts, gathered up tools and set everything out for an easy assemble. Pretty much everything you need to will come with the kit, but there are easier ways, such as using an impact wrench, socket/wrech set, and make sure you have a utility knife to get through the packaging. I started out putting together the squat rack, NOT overly tightening anything. I kept EVERYTHING finger tight until even the lat attachment was finally assembled...just made things easier to fit. Then, I did a couple final shakes of the units while jumping around doing the final tightenings. The squat rack went together quick and flawless, instructions were not needed, but were included. It was a cake walk job from just looking at the diagram. The lat attachment however, lol...I had a couple of issues. For some reason I decided to use the instructions. Don't do that unless you need to. It was a mess, steps jumped ahead of themselves, parts stepped ahead of themselves, bolts seemed mislabled, etc...My best advice, lay your pieces out, make sure they are all there. Browse the instructions to see where the parts are located on the unit, then just jump in and toss it together. Again, I can not stress this enough...hand tighten ONLY until completed. If you do it that way, you should have zero problems. For my purchases, I have zero complaints. I have seen reviews and Youtube videos where people say chipped paint, or rust, missing parts, etc...All of my stuff was there, packaged great and with care from Fitness Reality. The price was extremely great and resonable, especially for what all this kit can do. Just know that if you are having them delivered by UPS, keep a close eye out, as the delivery dates they give do NOT match...EVER. UPS will leave your stuff exposed outside for all to see and in any kind of weather. They do NOT use kid gloves with your purchases either. And, for whatever reason, they are not requiring a signature for packages...just a dump and go. This is why I prefer Amazon, the delivery drivers generally follow my instructions and place packages on my enclosed deck, out of sight and weather. So yea, hope you enjoyed my ramblings. I'm blue collar, look for deals, and am NOT a paid representative of Fitness Reality or Amazon. If you have any questions about this product I will be glad to answer. I will further note that the lat pulldown system has 1" inch plate holders, so I bought seperate 2" slides that go right over them to accomodate my 2" plates. I also didn't feel comfortable with the 2 small safety bars and ordered larger ones...but that's because I turn into a beast when tossing around weights, it has nothing to do with the actual small safety bars. I fully reccommend this product from this company and in no way, shape, or form regret making these purchases. Good lift to you all!!!

Sturdy and Easy to Assemble
This came so well packaged - I was impressed. Everything I need to put this together was in the box, clearly marked. I put this together by myself until it came to attach the pull bar to the second frame at which point my husband had to help me. Took about an hour and a half to do the whole thing and the instructions were very clear. The equipment is sturdy. I don't have any instability at all. It sits on stall mats which are laid across a concrete floor. The cage is lightweight enough that I was able to move it by myself to its final spot after it was all put together. You will need an alignment punch to attach the cross bars at the back of the rack. They're inexpensive and indispensable. (Don't use a wooden or plastic stick - it will snap!) Once all the screws are tightened, you will have a solid piece of equipment that should last for many years.

Best home squat cage available. Period.
Finished assembling my new Fitness Reality gym. I gave this workout cage a full 5 stars with the caveat that lifting and bolting the whole thing together solo was at least two hours total but everything fit together perfectly. Adhere to the instruction book recommending NOT tightening any bolts down until final assembly, then go back and tighten everything at the very end in its upright position. This product way exceeded my expectations for ruggedness, stability, heaviness and overall quality of design and manufacture. Nothing about this product is cheap, flimsy or wobbly. I was considering a squat rack for under $200 but read reviews and saw video examples of just how disappointed those customers were when they got the thing assembled. This is absolutely a superior product by many magnitudes, really not even comparable. What is really nice about this cage is its versatility with both free-weight squat AND chest press with an Olympic 7’ bar. I purchased the “j-hook” product accessory for the chest press position, allowing easier lift off and finish for chest press. For squat press, the solid heavy duty support bars stay in the lower position while the chromes bar rests stay in the upper position to allow easy lift off. The j-hooks, support bars and squat bar hooks stay where they are, just need to move the Olympic bar either from squat position or chest position to change exercises. Took a few days to get used to the cramped quarters in my laundry room converted-to-home-gym, but now it feels just like working out at my old (now cancelled) mega gym. I couldn’t be happier with this whole set up. Thank you Fitness Reality!!!

Great Rack
Product arrived quickly and assembly took about an hour. All the bolts are the same size, so it flew together. Only issue was the product seemed like the manufacturer didn't package the product carefully. There were a couple paint scratches on different parts, and one of the main rails (pictured) had a scrape/paint chip straight out of the box. Both end caps on the safety stops were off-center too, like whoever did the pre-assembly just smashed the caps on with a hammer without properly aligning them. Aside from the careless factory workers, this is an awesome rack for the purchase price. I did about 3+hrs comparing different power racks before pulling the trigger on this one. Really cant beat it for the price. Highest weight rating in the lowest price bracket. Rack set up sturdy, and is even more solid now that I've put plate holders on the sides with weights holding the unit down (in pic). I'm 6ft, 215lbs and the thing barely moves when I do pull-ups. Only thing I would change on this product would be to bump up the steel thickness to a 12-gage instead of the 14-gage it is currently built with, purely to raise the weight rating. Will update review after my bar arrives and I get a good bench day in on the rack.

Great quality for pin pressing
This rack has been good for solo lifting at home. Doing rack Pulls, pin squats, and pin pressing. It helps you try max effort and work your sticking points in bench, deadlift and squat. I lift alone and the pins give me peace I have a spotter and I won’t destroy my patio floor if I need to ditch the weight. It’s helped my max shoot up in numbers since I start in the hardest point for me in those lifts grinding thru sticking points to lock out. The pins really Help doing all these lifts solo and you can ditch the weight easy without a problem, but I don’t really have to since I’m starting with the load on the pins themselves, if I can’t lift it in that weak spot I take weight off.. Its a feat of strength training I adopted back in high school and I missed from home workouts. If you haven’t tried pins squats ect give it a go. I put towels on the pins so it doesn’t make so much noise and keeps it from getting scratched. Plus it doesn’t move around easy the towels keep the barbel in the same spot as if you racked it. Great quality and build. It Does shake but it’s not really bad, it’s not commercial gym racks but nothing to really be afraid of since i control whatever weight I use when I put it back. I’m also not hitting 700lb DL, bench not squat at my house. I’ve loaded 390 on the j hooks and pins and it doesn’t make a difference like 225 is on there. You should control the weight anyways at that high of number for safety concerns so if u slam your weights around like a monkey probably spend an extra 200 for a more sturdy cage but I have not seen any issue with it even though the comments say otherwise. I was skeptical and garage gym reviews on YouTube showed me this is the best bang for buck with there tests/review they did in the rack. Best upgrade I’ve made to my home gym. Now I gotta buy more plates lol

Great centerpiece to start a home gym.
I have used this cage daily for roughly 3 months and the pros far outweigh the cons. Let's start with the cons: (1) without being weighted down, the cage is a bit unstable for some exercises. Examples: I do leaning lateral arm raises where the upright is my anchor. Without weight on the cage, the rack would topple over. Also, when using heavy weight for landmine chest presses and using a plyo box as a psuedo fulcrum or point of support, the cage will lift off the floor at the point where the landmine attaches to the frame (think of a seesaw with only one person; person goes down while the opposite side goes up). That said, this is the tradeoff you make when you consciously purchase an inexpensive (note, I did not say cheap) piece of equipment with a small footprint designed for home use. Most of this is easily countered with weights low and at the corners as seen in the picture, provided you have the luxury of other weight available to perform the exercises. In my case, I use dumbbells for the leaning lateral raises and bumper plates for the landmine chest presses and leave the iron plates on the holders. (2) The smaller chrome hooks (not the long safety bars) that come with it leave something to be desired. As a result of the design, if you are shifting the bar laterally before un-racking, they can come unhinged if you are not careful. And, if you care about this sort of thing, they do not have high backs and you will scratch the uprights and potentially your bar when re-racking. It also makes for a clunky re-rack as the the hook is not flush with the upright. I opted for third party j-hooks with high backs and hard plastic "padding" (not the Fitness Reality ones) that solved this. (3) I would have liked the pull-up bar to have knurling. I use hockey tape, but it's not the same. All that said, I have zero regrets about this purchase. I have not experienced the negatives in some of the other reviews. The item was packaged very well and there were no defects out of the box that I noticed. For the price, this is a sturdy piece of equipment and is manufactured well with quality material and I expect it to last much longer than I originally anticipated. It was easy to assemble and when all bolts are torqued properly, there is minimal to no wobble. I can see how some people would have issues with hitting their face on the upper horizontal support bar when re-racking after a squat, but I face the opposite direction. I imagine these folks have a mirror at the rear of the cage and this is why they face that direction. The hooks don't have to be on the rear upright where that support bar is, either. Additionally, there are plenty of universal 2x2 attachments available (dip bars, j-hooks, landmine, etc.) that make this rack a solid centerpiece to build your home gym around. I opted not to purchase the lat pull down attachment and instead use after market pulleys and resistance bands, further enhancing the usefulness of this cage. With this cage and available attachments, there is almost no exercise that I cannot do at home that I could have done at the gym. I would highly recommend this item if you are able to get it at a reasonable price.

The essentials and the value
TLDR: great value for the price. Hits all the essentials and is efficiently sized. To give context of the type of athlete I am: I strength train consistently, bench 220lbs and squat 275 lbs at 181 lbs. Ultimately, I would consider myself a intermediate weight lifter who trains to be fit and look good. Due to COVID and elevated chances of getting it at a gym, I decided to invest into a home gym; with a Power Rack as my first purchase. My objective was to buy a Power Rack that will be safe to lift moderate to above moderate weight. And of course, I was looking for a product with the best value. I also did not have the option to bolt down a rack or bolt a rack to a studded wall, since it was going to be in an unfinished basement. I researched all of the top brands and read/watched many online reviews (shout out to Cooper at Garage Gym Reviews!). Pretty quick, it became clear that there were two options: go with a top brands like Rogue or go with a budget-friendly brand, many of which can be found on Amazon. The top brands come with a high price tag but you get what you pay for: sturdy and consistently build equipment with great customer service and warranties to back it up. One hiccup in the process was not many items are in stock due to the low supply in the industry. I was turned on to the FR 810xlt from a YouTube review, which concluded that this product has all the essentials needed in a Power Rack for about a quarter of the price of the top brands. I also liked the attachment options - I ended adding four plate storage pins, the dip bars, and landmine attachment. I nearly bought the lat pull down attachment too but found an alternative pulley system that took up less space and was removable (I highly recommend that too - they're about $50; in contast to the $200+ listed on Amazon for the FR lat pull down attachment). Pros: - It is sturdy... enough. There is a very slight wobble but it's nothing to be concerned about if you are under the max weight cap. This slight wobble is expected since the rack isn't bolted in. -The space in the power rack is perfectly sized for one person. Any less space would be too tight to comfortably lift. Any more would take up space for other equipment in your workout area. Perfectly sized for my needs. -The paint quality and finish is not cheap. I have already done my fair share of aggressive barbell reracks and would have thought by now some of the paint would've chipped off. I'm happy to report the rack looks fantastic still. -The Price. When I bought this rack a month back, with was ~$250 without the attachments. That's incredible for the level of quality and costistency offered by this Power Rack. Even if the rack has increased in price due to lack of supply, this is still worth the price point. Cons: -The holes are not numbered. This honestly is not a big deal to me. I'm going to by some magnets to label which holes I use for each exercise. -The rack didn't come with wrenches for configuration. I ended up having to buy a socket set, which I should've had in the first place. -The Packaging is very heavy. Fair warning... You will want someone else with you to carry it. Say sorry to the UPS guy too. -The assembly process was difficult for one person. There's a lot of bolting and socketing. That was a work out on it's own. It probably took twice as long for me to set it up since i did it myself. I recommend having someone help you, if possible. The manufacturer recommends that as well. -The pull up bar handles are a little slick. I wish the were knurled or had some texture for a better grip. If that's a concern for you, you can buy pull up grips on Amazon. -The pin holes are only on two sides of the upright (front and back). Fitness Reality probably did this for the structural integrity reasons. It would be nice to have holes on all for sides. It would allow for so many more attachment options. In conclusion, this rack is one of the best values on the market. I was very close to purchasing a Rouge Monster Lite rack but I decided to take a chance on this rack. I'm very glad I did. I have a feeling this rack is going to be with me for a very long time.

Good Purchase, however...
I am a novice and old guy trying to just keep myself moving. Considering that, I am glad I purchased the Fitness Reality Power Cage, it is very well built and sturdy. However, I have learned a few things. First, I really wish it had just a little more depth to it. I feel like I am "caged" in. I do not like the J-Hooks at all, I had read this in quite a few other reviews and didn't understand the issue until I started using it. I did replace them within a couple of weeks. I am handy and was able to assemble the rack by myself in about an hour, it wasn't difficult at all. For what I use it for, basically safety while lifting alone, it's really great. We can always find something we wish was different after a purchase, but I would not hesitate to recommend Power Cage.

Excellent starter rack
This is my first rack. I have been using this rack for a few weeks now. I am 6'1 and I am able to do chin ups in, though sometimes my feet hit the floor, either way it still usable. I can also squat and bench inside the rack without any issues. Sometimes its a little difficult doing lunge style squats inside the rack, I have attached safety arms to the outside of the rack to perform them in front of the rack. My only complaint about the chin up bars is that its smooth metal, light gnarling would have been nice for some grip. I worked around this by wrapping hockey tape around the bars for the chin up part, works perfectly. I do weighted chin ups and it feels sturdy to me. My only other complaint about it is that it has no way to secure to the floor. I worked around this by putting "all-round" over the feet and screwing into the floor (able to do so where I have it). This keeps it from tipping and sliding when doing dips off of the dip attachment i bought, and also when doing any band work where I am standing out from the rack. You can also use 6' barbells with this rack if you are limited on space like me. The collars will be really close to the safeties which can be annoying but they will sit safely outside the J hooks and safety pins. I probably wont be able to push the limits of this for a while, I am only ~160 lbs and only bench ~165 lbs and squat ~170 lbs though I feel like this rack can handle heavier loads (it's tubular steel). I bought some additional j hooks and safety arms for the outside. The option for attaching a lat pull down machine is a bonus (if it ever comes back in stock); however I was able to build my own upper and lower cable system off of the rack. I built it a few weeks ago, I have only checked the bolts once and all were still as tight as they were when I put it together. Assembly was pretty straight forward, I was able to do it by myself without any issues. The fact that it uses 1" holes means there are A LOT of compatible attachments.

Parfait !
