Link must defeat evil at every turn in his perilous quest to help Princess Zelda! The Legend of Zelda: Legendary Edition contains two volumes of the beloved The Legend of Zelda manga series, presented in a deluxe format featuring new covers and color art pieces by Akira Himekawa. The battle for Hyrule and the Sacred Realm has begun! A young boy named Link must defeat evil on his long, perilous quest to find the spiritual stones that hold the key to the Triforce, and deliver them to Zelda, princess of the land of Hyrule. Link's adventures across Hyrule introduce him to two powerful allies—the Oracle of Seasons and the Oracle of Ages—and pit him against a pair of nefarious villains—General Onox and the Sorceress of Shadows. To win the day he must quest from winter to summer and beyond the veil of time itself. Review: Great Read for Zelda fans - Great read for Zelda fans. The book is divided into 2 sections and tells two stories. The first few pages have color but the rest are black and white. The binding is very nice. A Link through the Seasons of Time
Please note that the content of the comic is wonderful; five star material! For now, I'm leaving this review as 5 stars because the artwork and story by Akira Himekawa is fantastic... HOWEVER, the comic I received was printed incorrectly. The cover art is tilted. It looks like the paper went into the printer wrong so it come out all wonky. The issue persists throughout the comic. Thankfully, Amazon is great at returns so a replacement is on it's way. I will update this review if the new copy is also poorly printed. As for the story it self if you've read and enjoyed the first Legendary Edition of The Legend of Zelda comics then you owe it to yourself to pick this up. In the first arch you'll follow Link on a magical adventure as he's transported to the land of Holodrum where he meets Din. Link battles with the evil General Onox (if you've played Oracle of Seasons you'll remember this guy!) in the attempts to save his friends. Later our legendary hero meets up with Impa who turns out to be possessed by Veran (Oracle of Ages final boss!) Some fun time travel shenanigans take place where Link must battle across time to save Hyrule - and himself! It's great if you have played the games because you'll recognize characters, places, and items; but even if you have never played a Zelda game the story and art are worth your time.

Oracle of Manga
This is a very nice, creative interpretation of two of my favorite games as a kid. Being a manga, it occasionally has intense emotion from characters that are not usually present in Zelda games, but the authors do a nice job of blending the emotional power of manga and the wonderful Oracle games plots. Of course, it doesn't align perfectly with current Zelda "canon," but if you can get past that, it is a really fun way to tell the games' stories. Having played the Oracle games many times as a kid, this manga provided wonderful nostalgia. I think those unfortunate enough not to have played the games will still find this manga enjoyable and worth the purchase.

Spoiler free fun Zelda comic
Finally started to get into the Legend of Zelda lore, but not up for hundreds of hours of gameplay to learn it. Or different websites with a gazillion ads. Then I discovered the manga series. The artists have done such a wonderful job telling the many Link stories, that I had to buy the whole set. This one is interesting, if a little childish for my taste. But still very enjoyable. Since I never played these games, don't know how closely they follow the plot. It did take a few pages to get in the rhythm of reading right to left, but I understand why and it was easy to adjust.

A great story filled with amazing characters.
First of all, this is a manga, meaning it's is read backwards, top right to bottom left, it is not bound wrong. It did take some getting used to, but once I got it it was very nice. It's very well illustrated, and is surprisingly funny, I don't usually laugh out loud when reading, but I did with this. I haven't played the origin games so I'm not sure if it deviate from them, but regardless it was a really great book.

Slightly damaged
I love it. It’s a 4 star because the top and bottom of the book spine came slightly damaged but it is really not that noticeable unless you directly look at the spine. Very excited to read it.
