Once you figure out the diagrams and mounting hole positions, it installed very easily. The printed instructions are a bit confusing, but there's a Youtube instruction video that helps (just search installation instructions for your model). You'll need a 3/16" drill bit, but you don't need a tap bit (despite what the instructions say) for hollow core metal doors, since the screws are self-tapping. Seems like a quality door closer so far- no more slamming door!

Watched a couple of install videos and then unboxed and put it up in less than an hour. Unless you have a solid wood door to put a screw in, which they provide, then you need to buy through bolts as I did to go through my hollow metal door. 1/4 X 2 1/2” long. Highly recommend this closer for the price. You can adjust how fast the door closes when you release it and when it gets closer to the latch, you can speed up how quickly it hits the latch if that’s necessary.

For the price, it works fine. I installed it on a commercial aluminum door. The install process is same as any other closer. No problems with that. The spring action feels weaker than the previous closer but it still closes fine. The concern is the bolt that attaches the lever to the device. It does not have a circlip or something similar to keep it in place. There is a chance that it could unscrew itself after repeated use.

I've tried the cheaper door closers and most have failed. This closes our bathroom door with a purpose. It is easily adjustable if you set the force too high, which you definitely can do. It has a commercial quality feel for a fraction of the price as other "commercial" units.

Very pleased with this Door Closure. The existing Door Closure began leaking and was slamming shut. After careful measurement of the old one it appeared this one was a compatible replacement. It was identical in fact, including all other hardware which I didn't have to change. When buying such, do measure what you have if you're wishing to find a replacement, as there are various sizes available. Installation was fast, adjustment was easy, and the Solid Wood Entrance Door is now again closing as it should.

This door closer was the perfect replacement part for our door closure. Once installed it was easy to adjust so the door closes smoothly. It is a good value compared to other I saw online.

Although the closer works well, in order to install it we had to go buy an extra plate.

Working great. relatively easy to install. The two previous hinge-mounted closers from Amazon failed shortly after install. Wish I had bought this one to begin with. Live and learn.

Very easy to install and work well

Works great, as intended. Pretty straight forward installation. Instructions are decent. Remember that opening/closing force is not adjustable so if you have small kids (4-5 y.o.) it may be a bit tough for them to open the door.

Perfect for our needs. Installation was a little tricky, but not overly difficult. The unit seems sturdy and well constructed. Once adjusting the valves we have the door closing at a comfortable speed and not too difficult to open

I chose this door closer as it had the exact same dimensions as the one that was failing in my fabrication shop and it was easily as cheap or cheaper than other commercial door closers on Amazon. The current door closer was at least 12 years old and it had started to leak. This new door closer seems well built and just needed a little adjustment to the arm length during installation and it was already set up to allow the door to open/close perfectly. It also included all of the screws for installation.
