The paste goes on so easily. It feels great. It’s my go to base - I can use it as is for a light hold or add gel, clay, etc. for a firmer hold.

Actually works and you need very little to make it work. I mean like a dime size amount at most.

I’d always used aveda pure-formance grooming clay but gave this a try. After a few used, I realized this works differently. Grooming clay is firm and you sculpt your hair with it. If you have thinner hair, it ends up sticking together in some places. With thickening paste, it’s a smoother softer substance so it’s easier to work with. When you get it the way you like it, it dries and gives more hold. Same clean dry look as the clay but easier to work with.
