OXO GreenSaver Produce Keeper - Large - Green

I like the size & shape of these oxo produce keepers, they fit nicely in the fridge. They keep green leafy veggies & other veggies crisp longer than produce bags. The sliding top adjusts to maximize the freshness, just follow the produce guide on the underside of the top. They are a "must have" to keep up with the abundant harvest from our garden. Other consumers stated they weren't happy that the container tops don't snap on to the bottom, I don't see that as an issue. The main purpose is to keep produce freshness maximized, & they certainly do just that. I would be happier if they were less expensive, but overall they are worth the price. I am very happy with these containers!

Love these OXO bins. This is my 3rd one. Helps keep my veggies and fruit much longer than in the refrigerator bins. Read some people have trouble spilling the content because the lid does not latch on. I would not want the lid to latch. I can easily lift the lid and slip out what I need without even taking the bin out of the refrigerator. A locking lid would just hinder access. Washes easily. Fits in refrigerator with efficient use of space. Lid is domed allowing bigger produce to fit. Good product.

I truly believe this helps extend the life of my mixed salad greens. Because that's what I bought it for, I am extremely pleased. The reason for the one star deduction however, is because of the container itself. First of all, the lid does not snap or lock into place. This in and of itself would not be all that big a deal, except that the shape of the container makes it very difficult to hold with one hand. I have quite large hands for a woman, and I am still unable to take this out of my refrigerator by using just one hand. The plastic material is slick, the sides are basically straight, and the dimensions are too large to grasp securely with one hand. All this is made more difficult because the lid does not snap/lock in place. Just when I feel I have a good grip on the container, the lid will slip off. As I find that getting things out of the refrigerator for salads always requires pulling numerous items out at once, this inability to just grab the container with one hand is surprisingly frustrating. The plastic material it's made of is also hard and (it seems) very breakable. It does not have the flexible feel of a Tupperware type of plastic. So far I haven't dropped it, but I'm pretty sure if I did, it would easily crack. I did end up having to buy two of these. We buy the 1lb clamshell container of mixed greens, and two containers hold that amount comfortably. All that being said, I guess I am pretty pleased with this.

My husband and I love to eat salads and fruit and also cook with fresh herbs. I bought some of these containers because I got tired of throwing away literally hundreds of dollars of produce that did survive more than a day or two in the refrigerator. Right now I have leftover parsley that I used for thanksgiving over a month old that I stored in one of the containers. It looks like I bought it today. My husband and I are watching to see how long its going to last. Normally, a bunch of parsley would be unusable after a few days. So I read where someone thought the price was not equivalent to the value. I beg to differ, Oh and did I mention the fresh strawberries that are 2 weeks old and look like they were just picked. Hope this helps you make your decision to buy. You will not regret it.

Love the size, however the lid does not snap on. Am using a robber band to keep the lid on the container.

These are truly wonderful for saving your greens - the paper greens ($) and the produce kind!! I was so frustrated spending money on fresh greens that went rotten in less than a week. The Good Grips OXO keeps my greens fresh and crisp for 2 weeks - no more throwing my money in the garbage can!. YES!! I LOVE this product - just be sure to follow the instructions and vent properly and you'll be all set.

This keeps my greens fresh over a week. The pics I’ve included are kale at 8 days old. It’s been over ten days now and I just checked there’s a bit left and those pieces are still fresh too. Had I kept the kale in the container from the store or just in the normal crisper, it would have wilted and gotten all slimy in a few days. I’ve wasted so much produce over the years, I wish I had this sooner. I’m buying more of these!

Did not keep my produce or lettuce more fresh. Tupperware or ziploc bags seem to work better. Bought two large, both were cleaned and filled with different types of fresh, organic produce. Both containers were rotten in under a week. Very unhappy with this product.
