In the picture is two pieces of driftwood stacked together. The pieces are beautifullllll. Tbh the better sides of the driftwood aren’t even how I set it up so the picture doesn’t even show the full beauty of the set I received. I didn’t set up with the beautiful angles of the wood because I wanted a little hole in the middle where my “path” is. One piece sank right away, but one of them was a process. I boiled them both on 3 separate nights, so I would boil for 2-3 hours, and then let them sit in the hot pot overnight. During the day, so my kitchen was presentable, I put them outside in a water filled bucket. They did sank after the first 2 boils but I did one more just to get some more tannins out of them. The water in the bucket was no help as it’s freezing temps here, so it was basically just to keep them soaked between boils. Hopefully that helps anyone during this process. The size I ordered is the perfect size for my tank 10 gal. I wouldn’t have gone smaller nor bigger. It’s not plastic, it’s real driftwood. The wood is strong and did not break apart even tho I did boil it for quite some time. Amazing value. Each piece I received would’ve been $25+ from any common pet store. Yet I got two for that price. When I rescape other tanks, I will absolutely purchase from here again. Packaged extremely well!

My wood arrived dirty and covered in mold! They’re gorgeous pieces, but they stink, and they made the whole house stink of mold too :( I really wish they weren’t yucky. They’re stunning. :(

These are beautiful pieces! But understand you MUST do some prep work! These need to be boiled 3-4 times, for 3-4 hours each time, in fresh water with baking soda changed each time. The last time, use just plain water, no soda. You can also add a tablespoon of citric acid during the last boil to remove any residual PH-raising compounds. This size had enough mass that they did not float, but small pieces of wood float, no matter how wet they are! So smaller pieces will need to be weighted down or superglued to other high-mass elements.

I worried about ordering driftwood sight unseen, concerned that I might receive very boring-looking pieces. Both pieces I received are beautiful and very different from one another, giving me creative options for my aquarium. The pieces I've seen in pet stores feel picked over compared to what I received from this seller, so I'm actually grateful that I took the risk. Thank you to this seller for caring to select good looking pieces for me!

Got niced sized driftwood. While I did not officially boil it I'd put boiling water over them and let them sit a couple of times with a lid over them rinsing inbetween. They would not sink until I put them in the aquariums. The biggest one I got I had to wedge between something to get it to stay down, but the oto's love it. They did not darken the water too bad either. I think they were a good value for the money. I might get smaller ones for my 20 gallon tanks. I got the 2 pack 9"-14" with the 14" going in my 40 gallon breeder. Fit perfectly. The smaller one, don't know the size, fit well in my 20 gallon.
