All-Clad HA1® Nonstick, 11" Grill Pan

I have wanted this pan for a long time. The pan I had was a round cast iron one that was difficult to clean and always set the smoke alarm and had a small cooking surface. This all clad pan solved all of those issues. The pan is square so it accommodates multiple pieces of chicken or steak. I can, and did, use it for kebabs. It was easy to clean and cooled off quickly. My mom laughed and said that it was the first time I grilled inside when someone didn't have to take down the smoke alarm and close it up in the bathroom. The steaks I cooked were juicy with a nice bark from the rub I used. The kebabs were easy to turn and also tasted delicious. I grilled some eggplant and zucchini one night and it too was tasty and not dried out, which was an issue with the cast iron. I will mention one more thing. I went to the mall to Williams Sonoma AND to Macy's looking for this pan. They both supposedly carried it and actually neither had it in the store. I wasted hours and gas making this trip. When I got home I ordered it from Amazon and it arrived two later. Thanks Amazon.

So far it has worked great. No issues. I previously used a cast iron grill pan, but this has been easier to maintain.

First I’d like to address those who gave one star because this pan won’t work on an induction cooktop. The description clearly states that this is made from aluminum, not cast iron or steel. I purposely did not choose a cast iron griddle due to the weight. Having said this, the ridged pan I purchased is solidly construction, with enough weight for even heating and cooking. I use the old sprinkle a few drops of water on the heating pan to see when it’s hot enough to start grilling. I’ve now used several times with highly satisfactory results. The nonstick surface only requires running under hot water, a light sponging, then just drying. Though I’m a single person household, this ridged griddle is large enough to cook one very large piece of meat or up to 4 smaller pieces. I highly recommend

I first bought this All-Clad HA1 Nonstick Grill from a discount store and didn't expect much. It was an in-the-meantime purchase, or until I have the time to research the grilling pan I truly needed. 5 years later, I can't live without this pan. I purchased a second one, which is waiting in the wings because I used a metal spatula on my original pan, which is a no-no. My favorite things about this frying pan are the sides. At 1-1/2" high, enough heat/moisture is retained and keeps meats and veggies from drying out. Secondly, is the size. The 11"x11" size accommodates cooking for 2 people, so I can cook two salmon filet and veggies at once and I'm done. A second pan isn't necessary. I love the All-Clad HA1 Nonstick pans and highly recommend this grill.

It’s heavy and requires two hands to pick up. A smaller one for one or two people would be better for people who don’t cook for a family of 4 or more. I mostly cook two drumsticks or kegs and one small cut of top sirloin of 5 ounces. So a smaller one would have been nice to get. Other than that it cooks very nicely in the oven I have not yet broiled with it. EDIT: I am back to using foil wrap on a pan to bake my food. This thing is just to.heavy to pick up and wash after every use :(.

I bought a second one of these after a stove top used to overheat and eventually it warped a little and burnt. However, that ONLY happened because of my old stupid stove. LOL It still worked but after a few years of intensive scraping and cleaning, some of the coating wore away and bacon would stick to it. The new one is perfect and is enjoying its service upon my new stove without any issues. It cooks beautifully, doesn't stick and the food looks great. BEST GRILL PAN EVER

LOVE this pan. My husband is a chef and he had basically killed our old grill pan from so much use. The new pan is amazing and much easier to clean than the old one.

I love cooking, but there's no way I'll ever use a grill. This pan lets me get that grilled look without an actual grill. It's also a good price compared to other options. I'll be gifting this to friends and family, I think it's a useful gift.

Very solid very heavy pan with even heat distribution. Cannot comment on durability of the finish as it is too new. It is helpful that the pan has a hole in the handle to hang up. This brand is fairly expensive but pretty good value as their items do last.

I've never spent so much on a single pot or pan before, but, after having to throw out yet another cheap grill pan that got warped and wore out, I decided to splurge on this All Clad pan. It makes a huge difference! It's thick enough to hold heat and evenly distribute it. Its ridges are prominent enough to drain away fat, and to leave gorgeous grill marks. The steaks I grilled turned out better than any that I'd made on my old, cheap grill pans. Before using it for the first time, it must be washed in warm, soapy water, dried off, then seasoned by wiping it with a tiny bit of cooking oil on a paper towel. To maintain its non-stick surface, it should be re-seasoned after every few uses. So far, it seems to be professional-grade, and to deliver what it promises.
