Razor-Sharp Steak Knife Set of 8, German Engineered Informed by 100+ Years of Mastery

These knives are SO sharp!! They feel great to hold. I’m not a fan of the heavy handled knives that you sometimes get a steak houses, so these were perfect for me. Also, I loved that they came with 8 knives. You rarely see that!! I highly recommend buying these… They’re a great value!!

I have had these particular knives for years and it was time to replace them. I'm so happy Amazon had the exact ones! These are very sharp and light weight and will last for years. These are the best steaks knives you'll ever use.

I purchased this knife set (J.A. Henckels International Eversharp 8-Piece Steak Knife Set) August of 2011, received it quickly and in perfect NEW condition. At least one knife from the set has been used daily since receiving it. The edges are SHARP, its dangerous as are all serrated knives and this could and would give a nasty and painful slash you would be sorry to get if not paying attention when washing them. I do hand wash and dry these knives, treating them with respect. They have remained new looking and they do by the way have the FULL LENGHT TANG WITH 3 RIVETS ALONG THE HANDLE. I think they were a great buy, the blade always looking shiny at the table. I've found nothing in the way of food that they will not cut nicely into small dainty pieces or too large for a mouth too take in size chunks. They can be used for raw meats also if necessary. NOW, IF YOU WANT the giant size, manly, wood handled knives that need to be sharpened, like those in a steak house, these are not for you. Or if you are an individual who must have the very best there are more expensive, wonderful knives right here on Amazon. One other thought, I never, ever give knives as gifts. I've always felt it would be a terrible cause for guilt if I would give a knife set as a gift and whomever I gave them to decided to do something terrible with the knife I gave as a gift. These knives have the capability of doing the worst and any steak you have designs on will be in the worst of trouble. My final thoughts, if you want a good steak knife for a very inexpensive price (I paid 29.95 here at Amazon and they are less, $25.29 at this writing) I don't feel you will go wrong with these. I give them full marks for quality, looks, and their ability to do their job effectively and for the price of (at this time of my writing) $3.16 apiece. These are decent steak knives but, clearly, not top tier. They are sharp and do the job, but they lack the feel and heft of a top quality knife. Given the modest price, that is to be expected. However, if you want something with the feel of a steakhouse knife, you'll need to spend more.

Bought to replace those I had purchased forty years ago.

Unbeatable price and a significant upgrade from our old Faberware set which we've kept around for far too long. Made in India, not China if that makes a difference to you. I try to source things basically anywhere but China, so this was a small benefit. They are extremely sharp, when they say 'razor-sharp' in the description, they aren't far off. While they are stamped steel (of course they are at this price point), they are not cheap feeling. The common theme here is you won't likely find something anywhere close to this good for this price and quantity. I am running mine through the dishwasher, I don't have the time or desire to hand wash everything in my kitchen that could probably benefit from that... just being honest about my intentions. About the only thing I am religious about NOT dishwashering is my cast iron cookware, so I'll update if the knives rust or get damaged that way. I think if you give some thought to how you put them in your dishwasher, vs. just throwing them into a basket with a ton of other silverware, it should minimize potential damage and premature dulling. At the price these are sold it, if they last several years they are an incredible buy. I am a self labeled knife snob, but for daily use, serrated knives for the kitchen and table that cost you roughly 6 dollars a knife, I don't see how you can beat it, or go wrong. I pay more than this entire set costs for individual knives all the time, but I know* these are going to get beat around a bit so it made no sense to me to pay signifigantly more for knives that I will be properly abusing in my kitchen.

This was a Merry Christmas to me gift and they are great! Very sharp and cuts through a steak like butter!

Three stars because 5 of the 8 knives had tips that were bent 90 degrees - all the same direction to the right. We were able to straighten the tips out. But a high-quality knife like these should not have to be adjusted by the buyer. They appear very sharp and well-made otherwise. The feel of weight in the hand is good. Quality control is lacking though.

They will be loked after much better than my previous steak knives as I had put them into dish washer & had rust stains, which is not a good look for guests at dinner table.

Knifes not bad but also not the quality I’m used to from zwilling professional and professional S , I have a few high end kitchen knives these re very thin , unbalanced and bent easily also stamped made in china not German Was reasonably priced for what you get much cheaper than the zwilling pro steak knives Delivery was fast as usual well packaged no problem at all
