Am i prepping my nail and dehydrating it then applying?** A: 1. prep natural nail by removing the shine 2. remove dust and dehydrate with ph bond 3. apply thin layer of foundation gel and cure 4. apply structure gel (this is where you will build your strength with the apex) and cure 5. remove sticky layer then shape and finish file (not too smooth if doing gel polish) 6. apply polish/color gel/art/etc. and top coat side note: remember if you are applying gel top coat over regular polish the regular polish needs to be 100% dry before applying your gel top coat. But yes, you can still file your nails. **Q: can this be used as a nail extension gel ?** A: I only do my own nails, but I've been using structure gel on top of long glued on nail tips for years. It works great. Step 1- glue on tip 2- Gelish foundation gel 3- Gelish structure gel 4- the nail is built, so i design it/ paint it with whatever gel polish Lasts 2-3 weeks and it's so much easier to me than dealing with the thick builder gels in the pot **Q: Do Ineed any other products such as primer, uv light, basecoat or bonder to use this?** A: Yes, you need to prime your nails after you prepare the nail plate. I use alcohol. Next use a bonder. You don't need to use a base coat. I use 2 coats and cure each coat under an LED or UV lamp. It works great if someone needs a little more strength for the nails. It applies like nail polish and doesn't need filing after applying. Although, a very light buffing is ok, too. I hardly use hard gel anymore unless I need to extend the nails. I’m going continue to use it, and I will probably buy it again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by J***N on 7 May 2024* I was disappointed when I opened this because it’s fairly thick, contrary to what many reviewers said about it being thin. Figured I wouldn’t return it. I’d just give it a try. It works spectacularly! And goes on the perfect thickness for me. My nails have always been naturally quite strong, but as I have aged, they’ve gotten a little less so, and I’ve started having a few vertical cracks in my nails. When I’m prepping my nails to polish I brush a very thin coat of this on the top half of my nails just to cover the tops of any potential vertical ridges/cracks to keep them from becoming more severe, I set it under a gel dryer, then do the rest of my nails as I normally would and it keeps my nails bulletproof.
