**Q: How wide is the grill without the shelf on the side**
A: The grill itself is about 30" long from left to right.

**Q: what part, other than the thermometer (as all of them are) is stainless steel as stated in specs?**
A: The only stainless steel item is the thermometer. The legs, body, hood, smokestack, and shelving is 14 gauge steel. However, it is not stainless steel.

**Q: I have the lowes model and it has wood shelfs/racks. Are the ones on this model have Plastic or wood ones painted black?  Thank you.**
A: The front and side shelf on this model is metal.
