I do like these special shape cute mini glass bowls. I use them to steam scallops. I do have stainless steel scallop shape holders to steam scallops or grill scallops. But sometimes, want a change of the holders for different eating experiences. When I thought to buy these mini glass bowls or not, the first thing I was wondering was the size was too small or not? Thanks a customer shared a photo comparing the mini glass bowl with a food captain. I think put a tennis ball as a reference into the mini glass bowl so you could see the size, the tennis ball does not totally drop into the glass bowl. Hope this information gives you a look at the size. Anyway, the size is good enough to steam even bigger king scallops. I like these glass bowls. I will buy 6 bowls more.
