These slate boards are very nice. I was going to use them under an electric fireplace, but they were a bit too small for that. However, they are a perfect size for my countertops, as beautiful serving boards. They arrived intact, since they were packaged very well including the corners, so there was no damage at all. They are a great price for two, and they are wonderful for entertaining. They aren't super thick, so I have them stacked on each other for now. Very lovely, highly recommend.

-Arrival- My order arrived undamaged. I feel the Manufacturer/Seller packaging had a big role to play in this. Corners protected with cardboard sleeves, individually bubble wrapped, wrapped together in a sheet of closed cell foam, as well as air cell cushioning on both top and bottom. -Quality- Quality is as depicted as described. They lay flat, no wobble, smooth top surface, each of the 4 feet underneath were in place on both boards. I found one mineral inclusion that was darkened when under the kitchen light but I would expect this for naturally sourced material and well within reasonable to receive as a finished product. -Concerns- The boards seem just thick enough for this larger size. I believe any thinner I would be very concerned these boards could split in the center with a small downward force. Maybe that is just my concern, but if I could suggest any improvements it would be a 5th foot centered underneath to help support the material from any downward forces a bit more. That said I don't believe this concern alone brings the review down to 4 out of 5 stars.

What I love most about these boards is that they are washable. No stains if you use strawberries. They look sleek and showcase cheeses and such beautifully!

Needed something new for plating

These are exactly what I was looking for! I needed one to put my coffee pot on. It’s easy to clean. The thickness is perfect. I’m very happy with my purchase!

I have ordered multiple slate pieces for engraving. Most are ridiculously thin and poorly packaged, so at least one if not all are damaged during shipping. These are PERFECT! Well packaged and thicker than any of the other brands I've purchased from amazon. WELL DONE!
