Great for cactus
This is great stuff. I repotted all my cactus with it. It seems to be great for them. Most of them flower. Even living in Maine where the sun isnโt overly bright. All my plants seem happy and have grown. It does what it says and it has the perfect ratio of sand

Great Soil! VERY Sandy Mix
Overall this is a great soil mix. It's very heavy on course sand (I like to incorporate more bark chips, like orchid mix, and perlite for my well-draining mixes). The fine soil does tend to slip through the drainage hole so you lose some. I would use something chunkier for semi-epyphitic plants, but this is good for plants that require a well-draining mixture but can handle a heavier soil. I tend to use this as a mix (especially for my aroids): 1 part espoma cactus mix (this product), 2 parts orchid mix (I also use espoma), 1 part regular indoor potting soil (I also use espoma for this), and just a dash of extra perlite. Works great! On a separate note, I LOVE that these come in resealable bags so I can keep it for longer.
