## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are these as pictured with the old-style small logo, or the newer style huge logo seen in http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/b00006iebc ?**
A: The ones that I received have the newer large logo. I'm glad they still make these because I've yet to find any other pen that writes so well.

**Q: Is the in these pens waterproof when dry?**
A: I just wrote a small note, let it dry, then ran it under the sink tap. It did not run, nor did it smear when I touched it. So I'm going to go with it: seems waterproof when dry. But I did not let it soak in water, the paper I used wouldn't have stood up to that.

**Q: Is this the same ink as the erasable vpens from the uk?**
A: It is not erasable ink.

**Q: Do these write dark purple or lavender like the ones from two years ago?**
A: The one I have writes dark purple. I bought it a few years ago. I compared my pen to the one shown here and it is different. My pen says, "pilot V ball extra fine" . Luckily I bought more of these pens and the new ones look exactly like the picture here. So since I had the old ones and new ones I did a color test. They are both exactly the same....dark! I love these pens and for some reason you can't find them in stores anymore. Me being a pen nerd I bought 5 boxes of these...so afraid they might be discontinued. Another great pen that is an extra fine writing pen is uni-ball vision elite. Actually Pilot makes another good one Precise V5 RT.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works very well, almost as smooth as a fountain pen

Good pen

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Pen
*by on Reviewed in the United States 22 August 2005*

This is the only pen I will use. I have been using this pen for nearly ten years. I find the design to be much better than other fine point pens, as it is simple and effective. The ink flow is exceptionally smooth; it does not blob or skip in mid-stroke. Unlike most pens in its class, it does not have the unwieldy rubber grip, which for me does nothing except make the pen barrel too large and uncomfortable. Additionally, it is made from a single piece of plastic that is clear, allowing the user to see his or her ink level. Unfortunately, the folks at Pilot seem to disagree with me, as they appear to no longer make this pen as it was. They have moved on to a larger barreled, silver painted version with the aforementioned rubber grip. The paint chips off easily and gets all over everything.Contrary to some reports, I've never had this pen leak during my decade of using it, even during a number of plane trips. Perhaps I was just lucky.Overall, I would recommend this pen for its simplicity, utility, durability, and excellent writing characteristics.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good flowing ink.

Love the flow of the pen across the paper. Great product!
