Could you use these in a J3 Cub with window and door open? This environment would be comparable to windows all open in a loud car

I don't know why not, there is a volum control so you can turn them up very loud. Shouldn't be a problem. We have used them on the boat with the engines running.

Will these work on my UTV side x side?

Hello Richard, we've had many customers using these headsets on side-by-sides with great results. Thank you for your question!

Can you reverse the sides of the ear pieces? I can't hear in my left ear, so I'd like to switch them so the sound side is on the right.

Yes. The mouthpiece swivels so you can reverse the headset and ear pieces.

with the ul3s set, can each head set (3 total) communicate and hear each other in real time?

That is correct. Any user will be able to hear and communicate with the other two. Thank you for your question!
