I can charge the Macbook battery through the USB C while using one of the other plugs for the SSD or for a printer. Review: does what it needs to - All of the usb ports work - depending on what you're using them for, you might get a little lag, but in my experience that happens with pretty much all products of this type. The lag doesn't seem especially different from any others, and it's not enough to affect anything I use it for. It's something you should keep in mind if even a very slight lag would cause huge problems with whatever you're doing, but since I've never found one of these that doesn't lag a tiny bit I have no idea what your alternatives would be. In 99% of cases it's not going to be noticeable at all, so I'd definitely recommend it.
