Great cleaner to make your AC more efficient
Spray it on, let it sit 10 minutes and hose it off. works great. I saw a video where the person's AC air temperature went from 56 to 53 degrees after treatment.

Works as expected! I use this with my mini splits as per my cousin who is an HVAC guy. It's no rinse BUT I do an annual clear and my mini split is get so disgusting that I always rinse. I bought a garden sprayer, fill it with water and rinse like crazy after I left the foam sit for a while. That's just MY preference. I also bought a kit to create a protective area so the spray and water don't get all over. There are youtube vids that give great instructions on how to do the whole process and what to buy. It is very time consuming to clean 6 mini splits but do one a day and save yourself tons of $!! Its easy and very satisfying! Good product. Def recommend.

The AC is working as new again thank you Nu-Calgon 417175 Evap Foam!
I have two Midea 8000 BTU window air conditioning units I purchased way back in June 2022. The first one I got worked so well I bought and installed a second unit, when my rooftop 3 ton unit did the same old conk out during a heatwave that summer. Needless to say I take very good care of both units, and try to keep them in tip top working condition. I do not want to be with out AC again. Even with that good maintenance, both units seemed to be struggling just a bit and I read about deep cleaning (not just rinsing with a hose and scrubbing with a brush) the evaporator, and condenser coils as part of the routine. I found this item, and after reading the reviews, and watching the videos, and thought I would try Nu-Calgon 417175 Evap Foam. Purchased Jun 28, 2024 Size: 1.13 Pound (Pack of 1). It took me a bit, although not long to figure out, you need to keep shaking the can to keep it foaming. Example: Shake the can, spray a section of the coil, shake the can, spray another section of the coil, and so on like that until the entire coil was coated. I also got a couple of paper towels to keep my hands clean. It says it can be left on, but having never used Nu-Calgon 417175 Evap Foam before, I thought I would rinse it off anyway. After an hour or so, I got the brush and scrubbed the coils. Then I used a two gallon pump up gardening sprayer with plain water for the rinsing part. Even though previously I washed and used a brush on the coils yearly, the amount of dirt that evaded my efforts was... well, almost shameful. Nu-Calgon 417175 Evap Foam removed stuff I didn't even know was there. The rinse catch bucket was proof enough... ack! Call me nuts, but I like the scent. It didn't bother me at all. Currently we are in the midst of a nasty brutal heatwave this year, but you wouldn't know it in the house because both AC units are running as if they were new, out-of-the-box. This product works, you may want to give it a try. Thanks Nu-Calgon 417175 Evap Foam for helping me keep those AC units clean!

Great product.
The product works. I have several Mitsubishi split units. I use this as a annual cleaning of the coils and blower wheel. It does a good job.

Save money
My AC man told me to use this to clean my outside coils myself to save money. Easy to use. Says no need to rinse but he said best to rinse it off after a couple of minutes.

Works as it should, but MAKE SURE to know all details about its use before buying
I got this to clean the evaporator coils on our mini split AC units, and it works good for that. I knew what I was buying and how it is supposed to be used before buying, but if you do not and using it for first time - MAKE SURE to know about these things: - This is evaporator coil cleaner. It cleans the coil (the radiator-looking thingie) that is on INSIDE of your house, not outside. Technically you can use this evaporator cleaner for both indoor and outdoor coils but it won't work well for outdoor condenser coil. You should buy a dedicated condenser coil cleaner to clean your outdoor condenser coil, it will clean much better but will be more toxic because of that. - Make sure to use eye protection and lung protection. This cleaner is "suitable for indoor use" but it is still toxic (it is printed right on the side of the can) and when you will spray it - it will create small, lightweight floating bits of foam that will "splash" away from the surface you're spraying it at, and you don't want those tiny floating bits of foam to get in your lung or your eyes. Any safety goggles will work well, and any face mask will also be ok, you don't need any face masks that have cartridges for gas/vapor protection. - Be aware that this particular cleaner does NOT come with flexible extension tube, so make sure you can easily reach the whole surface area of your coil when spraying. If your evaporator coil is hard to properly reach (for example you can't remove side panels that are facing each side of your coil on your air handler) - get a different cleaner that at least includes flexible tube, or get a cleaner that can be poured into dedicated chemical sprayer with spraying wand and hose. - Make sure you can remove all covers that cover the face of your evaporator coil, such as the ones that are made out of plastic/metal mesh. This part is also true if you're planning on cleaning your outdoor condenser coil with any type of cleaners. - Buy at least one can of this cleaner to use on each coil, don't try to "conserve" it - it will not work well if you will just lightly spray it across the surface of the coil, you really want to saturate all possible area between all fins of the coil. This is especially important if you haven't cleaned your evaporator coil in a long time and can already notice mold smell each time you use your AC.
